After lunch, letting Karin rest a bit, he finally decided to awaken her chakra. Cumulative experience from countless sons let him confidently claim top shinobi teacher status. Thousands of hours analyzing chakra circulation and control elevated his qualification to unimaginable heights. Any clan would ditch rules to make him honorary elder upon seeing results.
Igniting the chakra node took minutes, and Karin's eyes glowed crimson. The mightiest chakra streamed through her fragile body, stunning Kenshin. It was so dense it briefly formed a crimson shroud.
Her chakra was so potent that Kenshin, standing meters away, stared at his left hand in shock, finding no deep cut from that morning gone.
""You're simply incredible!" Kenshin said with a smile, making Karin open her magnificent eyes and bloom from her beloved father's praise.
""Will I become a strong kunoichi?" she asked breathlessly, trembling with impatience.
""Absolutely! I'm sure you'll surpass even Tsunade Senju!" he replied admiringly, examining her stats.
Name: Nakayama Karin
Age: 10 years
Talent Level: 45
Chakra Quality: 4
Chakra Amount: 12400
Chakra Control: 22%
Seeing her chakra quality and quantity, he was stunned, matching a decent chunin in those parameters. But control explained it; as her mother's daughter, she inherited Uzumaki Clan genes, where control was the hardest development aspect.
Karin was thrilled by the praise, stood on tiptoes, hugged him tightly, and stretched for a kiss. Kenshin scooped her by the thighs, lifted her, let her kiss him, then tenderly kissed back.
""Simply incredible!" Hitomi exclaimed admiringly, entering the training hall.
Even without activating her Byakugan, she could see the thick haze of chakra surrounding little Karin, and after activating her dojutsu, she began carefully examining her entire body, scrutinizing every tenketsu in an attempt to spot micro-ruptures or irregular chakra flow.
Kenshin decided not to distract his wife with foolish questions, and after asking Karin to stay quiet, he set her down on the floor, awaiting the verdict from the most experienced iryonin in the family.
"Ideal awakening!" Hitomi said with a satisfied smile, and stroked the girl's head.
"It couldn't be anything else! My girl's talent level is 45!" Kenshin declared enthusiastically, and kissed her on the cheek.
Hearing her father's praise, Karin felt immense joy, proudly lifted her chin, and looked into Hitomi's completely white, shocked eyes.
"Such a talented child with incredible chakra... All the clans would rip each other's throats out for the chance to marry her off to their heir," Hitomi said in admiration.
"Of course. It's harder to find girls who can reach Elite Jonin level than a needle in a haystack ocean. Too bad the clans will just have to bite their elbows, right Karin?" he asked tenderly, savoring his beloved daughter's temperament.
"Uh-huh! I don't want to go to any clans. I want to always be with you and Mom!" Karin declared, pleased that Kenshin had no intention of sending her anywhere.
Hitomi, like the other women, had long noticed Kenshin's boundless love for Karin, and had come up with all sorts of ideas. None of them dared ask directly, but the most tactless among them didn't care. Noriko saw nothing shameful in it and took a neutral stance on such decisions.
Gathering her courage, Hitomi asked Kenshin to send the girl to the medical office and stay himself for a few minutes of serious talk.
"You and Karin have grown very close, and it seems you love her a lot..." she whispered, and sat down in a chair.
"Of course I love her," Kenshin replied with a smile, not fully understanding where his wife was going.
"Good. However, as a doctor, I advise you to wait a few years and let her body develop," Hitomi said in a calm tone, plunging Kenshin into a sea of confusion.
"Wait for what?.. She's more than ready for training. If you're talking about missions and assignments—she'll never take part in anything life-threatening," he replied seriously.
"I didn't mean training, I meant her reproductive functions. She's too young for that," Hitomi said, looking him in the eye with a sigh.
"Wh-what?! How could you think so low of me?! How could I do that to my own daughter?!" he exclaimed in shock, completely stunned by her words.
"B-but... She's not your real daughter..." she replied, flustered.
"You don't understand... I feel the same about her as I do about our sons. Our boys are men and warriors, while Karin is a girl, and she'll always stay by her father's side—that's the whole difference," he replied with a sigh, and sat down next to Hitomi.
"So you won't make her your wife when she grows up?" Hitomi asked, raising an eyebrow in surprise.
"Of course not!" Kenshin exclaimed, feeling tremendous awkwardness as the conversation veered into this truly filthy topic.
"Why?" she asked with interest, completely stunning Kenshin and making him stand up.
"What do you mean why? She's my daughter!" he replied in a voice full of indignation.
"That never stopped the heads of great clans. Besides, doesn't your ability protect offspring from unwanted mutations?" she asked in a matter-of-fact tone.
"I would never do anything like that! Karin is the pearl of my family, and I refuse to even think about such filth!" he declared authoritatively, causing Hitomi to shrink back slightly in her chair.
Taking a deep breath, Kenshin tried to calm down, and enveloped the busty mommy in his arms, then spent several minutes caressing her body, which had longed for his touch, apologizing for losing his temper and yelling at the mother of his children.
Hitomi wasn't angry with him at all, and within just a few minutes, she melted completely, surrendering to his experienced, strong hands. She decided not to bring up the topic again and let things take their course, secretly hoping Kenshin would change his mind.
As a smart woman, she fully understood the prospects of offspring from such a talented kunoichi as Karin, and wished only strengthening and prosperity for her family. However, she had long ago entrusted her fate to Kenshin's hands, and accepted any decision of his, even one she disagreed with.
