"Damn it! Bastard!"
At the edge of the Solar System, on an asteroid within the Kuiper Belt, the Skrulls had established a hidden base.
Inside one of the rooms, Kly'bn was furiously cursing, venting the rage in his heart.
Just moments ago, he had sensed that his divine domain had completely lost its connection to him.
This meant that Lucas had actually seized it.
The realization instantly shattered the calm mentality he had maintained for countless years.
When he had fled earlier, he believed that even if his domain were damaged, he could eventually return after his enemy left.
At worst, he would simply spend more time repairing it.
As long as he remained alive, the divine domain could eventually be restored.
But Kly'bn had never imagined that Lucas would be so ruthless.
Lucas had struck at the root of the problem and taken the domain itself.
Stealing the divine domain of a living god was nearly impossible.
Even if the original owner was not present, the conditions required were unbelievably harsh.
In all the years Kly'bn had lived, he had never seen or even heard of such a thing happening.
"Why…?"
"Why does a primitive, backward planet like that have a lifeform of this level?"
Veins bulged across Kly'bn's body, revealing just how furious he was.
"How did those idiots gather intelligence?"
"They told me he was just a slightly stronger native!"
"Is that what they call 'slightly stronger'?!"
Kly'bn suddenly took a deep breath and forced himself to calm down.
Having lived for countless years, he understood very well that extreme emotions often led to poor judgment.
After a moment of silence, he began analyzing the situation again.
"Something isn't right."
"They didn't lie to me… and they wouldn't dare."
"I personally watched the battle footage."
"The man in those recordings didn't possess the strength he showed when fighting me."
Kly'bn narrowed his eyes.
The air in the room began trembling as if under immense pressure.
"But that footage is less than half a year old."
"How did he grow so strong so quickly?"
"It's true that he possesses the Space Stone, but that artifact isn't something ordinary beings can withstand."
"And his displayed abilities don't even seem strongly connected to the Infinity Stones."
Kly'bn had spent his life wandering the universe.
He knew well the power of the Infinity Stones.
He had also seen the fate of those who tried to wield them—both their terrifying strength and their tragic endings.
And nowhere in the universe had he ever heard of a species capable of improving this rapidly.
More importantly, on that planet, 99.99% of lifeforms were weak and insignificant.
So no matter how he thought about it, he couldn't understand how Lucas had grown so powerful in just six months.
"You can't understand it."
"And that's exactly why you lost, isn't it?"
A mocking voice suddenly echoed through the room.
"Mephisto?"
Kly'bn looked up at the figure that had appeared before him.
His expression showed no surprise.
"Yes, it's me."
"The esteemed fallen god, Kly'bn."
Mephisto bowed slightly like a gentleman, dressed in a sharp black suit.
Despite the mockery in his words, Kly'bn remained calm.
"Speak your business."
"If you don't have anything important to say, get out."
"You're not welcome here."
Mephisto wasn't surprised by his composure.
After all, Kly'bn was still a god.
So he softened his tone and began coaxing him.
"Kly'bn, I know you're not willing to accept this outcome, are you?"
Kly'bn frowned.
"Mephisto, say what you came to say."
A faint ripple of divine power began vibrating around him.
It was clear he was ready to strike at any moment.
Mephisto remained completely unfazed.
Looking at Kly'bn with mock sympathy, he said,
"I never expected that after suffering such a loss to a mere mortal, you would simply swallow your anger and move on."
"Where is the pride of a god?"
"Are you really just going to give up?"
Buzz—
The air in the room instantly froze.
Kly'bn's divine will locked onto Mephisto with icy killing intent.
His divine power surged, ready to erupt.
"Hey, hey! Relax!"
Mephisto quickly raised both hands.
"No need to get so violent!"
"I came here to help you."
"You shouldn't treat me like an enemy."
"Help me?" Kly'bn sneered.
"Do you know how humans describe creatures like you demons?"
"Greedy. Cunning. Deceitful. Despicable."
"The list goes on."
"And you expect me to believe anything you say?"
"Don't make me laugh."
Mephisto remained calm.
"Kly'bn, we share a common enemy."
"There's no reason for me to deceive you."
"You'll try to use me."
"And I've never been interested in cooperating with demons."
"Leave."
Kly'bn cut him off coldly.
"That's my final word."
"Aren't you even curious about the plan I'm proposing?" Mephisto asked.
"Mephisto, you have ten seconds to leave."
"If you don't… this avatar of yours won't be leaving intact."
His voice grew colder with each word.
It was obvious he was about to attack.
"Kly'bn, listen."
"If you're willing to cooperate, I can bring in at least three Hell Lords to assist you."
Mephisto spoke rapidly.
"And I'll recruit even more powerful allies."
"Then we'll all move together against Lucas."
"Otherwise, how long do you think it will take for you alone to reclaim what you lost?"
BOOM!
Mephisto's body slammed violently against the wall.
Kly'bn had grabbed him by the throat.
"Mephisto."
"Your reputation is so infamous that half the universe knows it."
"So don't try feeding me your lies."
Kly'bn glared at him coldly.
"This may just be your avatar…"
"But I have ways to make your real body suffer for it."
"So speak carefully."
"Understood?"
Even while suspended in the air by his throat, Mephisto still smiled.
"Why would I deceive you?"
"I came here with complete sincerity."
Kly'bn released his grip and dropped him.
"I assume you understand that I'm not some mortal you can easily trick."
"So put away your little schemes."
"Now…"
"Tell me about this plan of yours."
Mephisto's grin widened.
He bowed slightly and said politely:
"The plan is quite simple…"
