Rukyıo's mind reeled with the potential scenarios of what could have happened to her fellow companions, but after a brief contemplation, she decided to push those thoughts to the back of her head— the need to find answers for herself stronger than her concern for the others right now.
So, she took a deep breath and began walking again, pushing forward to explore the cave and possibly find out more about the dragoness it belonged to.
Rukiyo continued down the staircase, the steps seemingly endless the further down she goes.
The deeper she goes, the more the light begins to fade, the shadows lengthening and swallowing the path ahead.
Her footsteps echoed softly off the stone walls, the sound barely perceptible in the deepening darkness, but the air grew colder with each step, a chill clinging to her skin as the temperature plummeted.
