Drip, drip, drip, drip, drip..
Rukiyo's eyes fluttered open, her consciousness slowly returning.
The first thing she registers is the darkness surrounding her— thick and suffocating like a heavy blanket, then the faint, rhythmic drip, drip, drip echoes from somewhere in the blackness around her.
Her breath hitches for a second, her fingers curling slightly against a soft surface they were resting on, as she processed what was happening.
The air feels cold and damp against her skin, causing a shiver to go down her spine.
Letting a shaky sigh, Rukiyo pushed herself upright, her body moving with surprising ease despite the darkness, and shifted on her spot.
She feels.. Refreshed. Energetic, even.
Her ears twitch slightly and she strained them to listen to her surroundings, her vision adjusting rapidly in the dark.
When she heard nothing, but the rhythmic drip of water, she finally looked around.
