I folded my arms across my chest despite how badly they were shaking.
"I'm not scared of you."
Something flickered across his face. He looked amused, which was the last thing I wanted. He started counting.
"One."
I stayed where I was.
"Two."
"I said I'm not getting back on that bed, Allen."
"Three."
I refused to move from where I was.
My heart was racing, but I wasn't going to let him see that. "Four."
My fingers curled into fists. "You don't get to order me around anymore. Leave me alone."
A long silence followed. Then Allen quietly said, "Five." And then he stood up.
That was all it took.
Every horrible thing I'd witnessed downstairs came rushing back at once. Damon's bloodied form and hollow eyes, Adrien's headless body, the way Allen mercilessly killed those people.
Without thinking, I stumbled backwards until my back slammed into the wall.
"No…"
I threw my hands over my face.
"Don't come near me."
