Kelvin stood frozen at the spot for a brief moment before he slowly turned around to meet her eyes. "Sister or fiancée?"
They both felt foreign to his ears; besides, he never had any. "Why did you ask?"
Sonia shrugged her shoulders lightly as though it was such a simple question, and yet he was behaving as though it was some obscene request. "The room was well equipped with everything a lady would definitely need."
Kelvin exhaled sharply. "You are right," he muttered, his gaze sweeping through the room. "…it was for you." His voice was calm and slow, as though any higher would destroy the effort.
Sonia's eyes widened with shock. She didn't dare to believe that. How could she?
Right after he brought her out of the ICU, he had led her here and asked her to stay. When she opened the bathroom, it was lined with the same skin products she had been familiar with.
Sonia retracted her gaze from Kelvin as she slowly trailed every inch of the room all over again.
