Power is not dominance.
The twins find the King before I do.
I know this through the twin bonds — the specific quality of both of them moving in the same direction with a shared intent that is neither the hot territorial response nor the tactical assessment, something that has been building in both of them since the corridor where the chains broke and the honest voice said what it said. They've been working toward this conversation since before they fully understood they were working toward it.
I don't follow immediately. I give them the space the space requires.
