[Silthara Palace — Malika's Office — Continuation]
Silence, a suffocating and deadly silence. The black mist slowly spread across the marble floor like living shadows.
Levin never looked away, nor did Azhrakaal. The Black Serpent Emperor smiled, his deep voice echoing softly through the chamber.
"Remarkable. I expected that silver serpent to discover my disguise eventually...but not by a mere human like you, this quickly."
Levin folded his hands behind his back as his eyes remained cold. "You were caught when you talked about Naburash's grandmother, who is not alive anymore."
Azhrakaal's smile faded and then smirked again, saying, "Damn it."
Levin smirked, "I expected the Black Serpent Emperor to possess more intelligence and dignity. Instead...you are nothing but a fool and hide behind another serpent's face."
Azhrakaal chuckled; his black eyes gleamed. "Dignity? I abandoned dignity long before I became Dark Emperor, and now, I seek only victory."
