The swordsman was not intimidated by all of this showmanship, though. He sneered at the other party and said, "You are not bad. Your power would be enough to defeat some other rank 6 cultivator. It is your bad luck that you encountered me instead."
As he spoke, he dodged the solid shells that the cannons shot at him. His movement was nimble, and his speed was extraordinary, so the large physical ammunition couldn't touch him.
The solid shells sailed past him and struck the ground beneath him. Then they exploded in a conflagration of fire and shrapnel that tore everything around them apart. This led to the creation of a small crater where the solid shell had landed.
The lasers were more difficult to dodge, though. After all, they were as fast as the speed of light.
