"A Bloodling," Kaiser turned away. "Or what we know as a vampire."
He sighed to himself, staring into the evening sky.
"I've met several of your kind—even killed a few."
Kiera's body trembled in a mix of fear and rage.
He turned to her, his blue eyes carrying a hint of curiosity.
"Your kind almost caused the doom of humans back then. I wonder what your origin is."
He began to approach her, his steps calm and unhurried.
"You didn't just call me out here to confirm if I know you, right?" He stopped in front of her, staring down at her. "What… do you want from me?"
Kiera suppressed the trembling in her body, keeping her gaze locked with his. Her red eyes was deeply contrasting to his blue eyes.
"I can see you hold no prejudice against us bloodlings." She said, her breath slowed. "Although I didn't want to expose this to anyone, I can't hide it from you."
