Reputation is a wonderful thing. It can't be seen or touched, but it can bring unimaginable benefits.
Steve Rogers planned to include some negative traits about himself in his upcoming movie—perhaps showing his weakness as a bit of a playboy.
A saint? Hardly.
A superhero with flaws feels real—down-to-earth and relatable.
After sending Spider-Man off, Steve picked up his phone and checked the latest news.
"The Green Goblin robs a bank armored car again—three guards killed!"
"Lawless! Supervillains are slaughtering citizens again!"
"Where are the superheroes? We need their protection!"
Steve clicked on the headlines and saw a string of crimes supposedly committed by the Green Goblin.
But the Green Goblin himself was completely baffled when he saw them. He hadn't done any of it!
Slander! This is slander!
But who would believe him? He was a criminal—blame him for everything and no one would question it.
Even if people suspected something was off, they'd still pin it on him. Convenient for everyone—promotion, money, and a clear conscience.
Truth?
Does that even matter anymore?
Bank truck robberies, casino raids, even a bombing that killed three CIA investigators—it was chaos.
Steve calmly dialed a number.
"Everything cleaned up?"
"Boss, not a trace left," Joseph assured him. He was in charge of the dirty work—and far from complaining, he sounded thrilled.
The longer someone worked under Steve, the more they got drawn into his charisma. They couldn't help but admire him.
"Good. Take a few days off. I'll take everyone out for dinner to celebrate soon."
"Yes, sir! Thanks, boss!"
Joseph almost called him "Captain," but caught himself—better not leave any clues behind.
That's right—it was Steve Rogers who sent the Winter Soldiers to frame the Green Goblin.
Aside from Heidi, who now served as Sharon's bodyguard, Steve still had four Winter Soldiers ready for deployment.
Bucky Barnes, the original Winter Soldier, could pull off nearly impossible missions—and with four more like him, Steve essentially held four trump cards.
When the Green Goblin tried to kill Betty, Steve had been furious. He was the only one allowed to discipline or punish his woman—no one else had that right.
Targeting the Green Goblin was just part of clearing his enemies.
The armored truck? Controlled by the Rockefeller family. The "guards"? Private soldiers in disguise.
The underground casino? Another gang's illegal operation—but if you're going to profit, do it the proper way!
And those CIA agents? Not exactly saints themselves. They had once tried to investigate Steve when rumors spread about him.
So he simply returned the favor—an eye for an eye.
Who would ever believe that the righteous, patriotic Captain America could be behind such things?
That's why you make personal films—to build your reputation.
After all, who would link these crimes to Captain America?
Slander—it must be slander!
Steve unpacked the pizza and cooked a few more dishes.
"Mrs. Hill, come eat."
"Ugh… You eat first! Ugh!"
Hill was in the bathroom, retching. She'd been feeling sick all morning, and the smell of food made her stomach turn.
Leaning against the doorframe, Steve watched her with growing curiosity.
Something about this looked… familiar.
A spark of excitement ran through him. Could it be?
Hill looked at the pregnancy test kit Steve handed her, her calm eyes flashing with annoyance.
"When did you prepare this?"
"From the moment I met you, I was ready," Steve replied with a grin.
He had actually bought it recently—he'd been thinking seriously about having a child.
It wasn't just about fulfilling a mission; it was about finding a sense of belonging.
Ever since arriving in this world, he'd felt uncertain—like an outsider.
But if he had a child, that feeling would disappear. He would truly take root here.
Without family, life felt empty.
He wasn't desperate for kids, but deep down, he craved that connection—the proof that this wasn't just a dream.
After all, could something this good really be real?
He'd dreamed countless dreams, but never one where he had a harem of his own.
And if it was a dream—he hoped he'd never wake up.
A few minutes later…
Hill blushed as she handed him the test stick. Her lips curved in a shy smile—joy flickering in her eyes. She was happy to be carrying his child.
"I think it's better to get a proper checkup. I've got a friend who's a doctor at Presbyterian Hospital," she said softly.
"Eat something first. Then I'll go with you," Steve said, wrapping his arms around her. "When I finish shooting the movie, I'll announce our marriage to the world."
He hugged his cold, beautiful boss-turned-lover tightly.
Breaking protocol to fall in love with your superior? Now that's thrilling.
"Well… I'll listen to you, darling. I love you."
Hill kissed him gently. She wasn't sure how their relationship had even started—it just happened, naturally, like aged wine—smooth and intoxicating.
Ding! Mission: "First Child" completed.
Reward: Soulmate effect upgraded.
Soulmate (Upgraded): Your partner doesn't mind you seeking other women and will remain absolutely loyal. The effects of your serum are shared with your partner after physical contact.
Whoa. That was powerful.
Moments later, Hill felt dizzy. Her body tingled, vision sharpened, strength and reflexes all enhanced.
"Steve… something's happening to me."
"Don't worry," he said quickly. "It's just the effect of my serum. It's the most advanced version—and it has a function I've never told anyone about."
He couldn't reveal the system, of course. That secret stayed buried.
"Huh? What kind of function?" Hill asked nervously.
"Nothing bad," he assured her. "It subtly strengthens the women I love. You've accepted billions in investment from me—this is just part of the package. You're healthier now. Stronger. Practically a super soldier."
Steve was genuinely pleased. Now she could protect herself if anything happened.
Even if she couldn't win in a fight, at least she could escape.
But Hill wasn't thinking about herself. She placed a hand over her stomach, eyes full of concern.
"What about our baby? Will it be okay?"
A woman changes when she becomes a mother—her first thought is no longer herself, but her child.
"No need to worry. We'll go to the hospital right now and check," Steve said gently.
They disguised themselves before heading out—public appearances weren't an option for a couple like them.
When they arrived at Presbyterian Hospital, Steve felt an odd sense of déjà vu.
Then, when he saw the "friend" Hill had mentioned, his eyes widened in surprise.
It was someone he already knew—an old acquaintance!
