"You'll definitely win this time, Ash," Raj said as he watched Haunter affectionately approach Ash.
"Ahahaha, then good luck, Ash," Brock said with a forced laugh.
"What's wrong? Brock, you're acting strange," Ash asked in confusion.
"I'm still not used to your new friend," Brock said as he waved his hand.
"He's fine actually. After looking at him for a while, I think he's quite cute," Misty said as she looked at Haunter.
After hearing that, Haunter floated over to Misty, rubbed against her, and then stuck out its tongue and licked her, causing her to faint again.
"Haunter, you made her faint again," Ash said as he frowned.
"However, in this city there's a Trainer named Sabrina, and she uses Psychic-type Pokémon. Haunter, you're a Ghost-type Pokémon, so you're not afraid of Psychic-types. Are you willing to help me?" Ash asked as he clenched his fists.
Haunter nodded with a grin.
"Sabrina, that terrifying Trainer. Last time you defeated us badly, but this time it won't be that easy."
After Ash finished speaking, he noticed Brock and Misty had stopped walking behind him.
"What's wrong with you two?" Ash asked as he scratched his head.
"Last time you failed your challenge and dragged us into it. This time we're not going with you," Misty said as she raised a small flag.
"But I already caught Haunter this time, didn't I?" Ash said awkwardly as he remembered how they were turned into dolls before.
"And it doesn't look like you caught Haunter. It looks more like Haunter caught you," Brock said with a worried expression.
After returning to the Gym, Ash stood on the battlefield.
"Sabrina, I challenge you to a one-on-one Pokémon battle."
Sabrina sat calmly in her chair while the cloth doll in her arms spoke coldly.
"You want to battle with your Pokémon, but your Pikachu won't be able to defeat my Pokémon."
"This time it definitely won't be like last time," Ash said confidently.
"If you lose, you will stay here and keep me company," the doll said.
After speaking, Sabrina floated down from her chair and said softly, "Go Kadabra."
She released Kadabra from a Poké Ball.
"My Pokémon is Haunter. Go Haunter," Ash said with a confident smile.
"What? You already caught a Haunter?" Sabrina rarely showed surprise.
Raj naturally knew the reason for her reaction. After all, he had defeated Sabrina previously using a Haunter.
"What's wrong?" Sabrina asked coldly.
"Huh? Haunter, stop fooling around. You're here, right? Come out quickly," Ash said as he looked around.
"It seems Haunter is still too playful," Brock said helplessly.
"That's an unpredictable Ghost-type Pokémon," Misty said as she held her forehead.
"No way. How can Ash be this unlucky?" Raj said as his mouth twitched slightly.
He had worked hard to persuade that Haunter earlier, yet it disappeared at the most critical moment.
"How could this happen? I'm so disappointed," Ash said with tears in his eyes.
"What are you doing? Hurry and send out another Pokémon," Sabrina said impatiently.
"Otherwise, I'll turn all of you into dolls."
"This is bad. Quickly send out another Pokémon," Misty said anxiously.
However, Ash's Pokémon had already retreated to the wall and refused to battle Kadabra.
"What exactly are you doing?" Sabrina said angrily.
"I don't have any," Ash said awkwardly.
"I asked what you are doing?" Sabrina's eyes glowed golden as her hair floated upward.
"I forfeit the match," Ash said before running outside.
Raj, Misty, and Brock quickly followed him.
"You can't escape," the doll in Sabrina's arms whispered.
Suddenly, a heavy door dropped down at the Gym entrance, trapping Ash and Raj inside.
Then the doll flew toward them from behind.
"Oh no, the exit is blocked," Brock shouted as he ran forward.
At that moment, Brock and Misty were suddenly turned into cloth dolls by the floating doll.
The doll hovered in the air and spoke again.
"Who should I turn into a doll next?"
Raj stared nervously at the doll in front of him.
Although he could defeat Sabrina's Pokémon, he knew he had no chance against her Psychic powers directly.
At that moment, a middle-aged man suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
"Huh? It's you, Uncle," Ash said in surprise.
"Who is this person, Ash?" Raj asked cautiously as he looked at the man who appeared suddenly.
"It's a long story, but right now it's better if we escape first," the man said as he turned toward Ash and Raj.
"Focus your mind. Teleport."
A white flash appeared, and Ash and Raj were instantly transported to a corner of the city.
"Raj, let me introduce you. This is the uncle who saved us when you were fighting Team Rocket outside earlier. At that time I lost the battle and Sabrina shrank me," Ash explained excitedly.
Raj frowned slightly but remained silent. Psychic-type users were indeed extremely powerful.
Back inside the Gym, Sabrina walked up to the cloth dolls that Brock and Misty had become.
"Was it him?" she said coldly.
