"You fooled me, didn't you?"
The moment they walked back into the room and the door clicked shut, Rai turned on him.
"Well, my lies didn't do any harm to you, so don't bitch about it," Zade said smoothly. He threw an arm around Rai's shoulders, dragging him toward the bed before dropping onto the mattress. Of course, it was Rai's bed.
"You tried to make me indebted to you," Rai whined.
Zade just grinned. "No. Think of it as a gift."
"I don't want your gift."
"Then think of it as my own personal gift."
"...What does that even mean?"
"I paid for both of our shares on this trip," Zade said, his tone shifting into that of a smug bastard. "So, like you said, you owe me. So pay me back."
Rai scoffed at him, annoyed by how easily Zade fell into acting like a jerk. But it was clear that forcing a debt hadn't originally been Zade's intention and he just got some idea. Still, Rai refused to accept charity from him. He wouldn't let things stand like this.
