Rory had indeed promised to make a hand-carved wooden figurine for each of her partners. However, after returning, one thing followed another in rapid succession, leaving her far too busy to find the time.
Looking at Xarion's tragic, patch-ridden haircut, Rory nodded forcefully without a moment's hesitation.
"No problem!"
"The moment we get back to the castle, I'll pick out the finest piece of wood and carve it for you!"
Catching her quick agreement, a faint trace of a smile flashed across the depths of Xarion's eyes. He lowered his head and nuzzled her forehead gently. "Then I'll be eagerly awaiting Female Master's gift."
Meanwhile, on the other side of the airship.
Nix caught sight of Jasper and Wen stepping out of the lounge right after him. He immediately yanked both of them over and whispered anxiously:
"Rory cut Xarion's hair into such a state—Xarion must be devastated right now! Do you two have any ideas on how we can comfort him?"
