Rory watched Xarion's hair grow shorter and shorter, her movements slowing to a crawl until she barely dared to make another cut.
If she kept going, Xarion was genuinely going to turn into a bald wolf.
Originally, she had only wanted to trim off the scorched ends. But then one side was too short so she trimmed the other, and when that side became too short, she went back to the first. Now, Xarion's head was a map of uneven craters and patches, his pale scalp peeking through his silver locks in a tragic display of spot baldness...
With his eyes closed, Xarion acutely felt that the terrifying snip-snip sound above his head had finally ceased. Yet, he still didn't dare open his eyes. Though he couldn't see, he could feel cool breezes blowing across his head from all directions; his sense of impending doom had reached its absolute peak.
Sitting in the chair, Xarion's Adam's apple bobbed up and down before he asked with extreme caution, "Female Master... is it done?"
