Did this Dax finally notice how great Bree was? Was he intentionally trying to get on her good side? But his Starlight Prime Tech was such a massive enterprise, yet he was only giving away a single spatial ring—wasn't that a bit too stingy?
Hearing Yilan's questioning tone, Dax suppressed the disgust in his eyes.
He smiled and told her, "Complimentary gifts are only given when a purchase at Starlight Prime Tech reaches a certain amount. Miss Yilan, your spending didn't meet the threshold for a gift."
"What?" Yilan looked at Dax in shock. "I bought a whole starship, and that still wasn't enough to get a gift?"
Dax replied, "If your starship had been purchased at full price, it definitely would have met the threshold. But since it was already marked down by fifty percent, we really can't throw in a complimentary gift."
