Catching sight of Vincent, Vangar paused in his tracks and shook his head with a grunt.
"Go home? Where would I go home to right now? I'm off to attend a meeting."
Speaking of the meeting, Vangar's tone carried an unmistakable trace of impatience. He hadn't wanted to attend this session in the first place—it lacked any real substance and was a complete waste of time. However, this was already the third time the other party had pressed him for an appearance, so out of deference to that old fellow's face, he had reluctantly agreed to drop by and show his mug.
Having said that, Vangar's gaze swept up and down over Vincent as he questioned:
"You're heading home already? How come you're leaving so early? There's still a bit of time left before the official end of the workday."
Granted, because Vincent currently had to incubate their cub egg, his work hours were relatively flexible. But wasn't this a little too flexible? Had he finished all the tasks on his desk?
