Android 17 was stunned.
He couldn't believe that even with Android 18 attacking alongside him, they still couldn't touch Gohan at all.
Suddenly Gohan appeared behind Android 17 and struck the back of his neck with a single palm.
Android 17 collapsed unconscious.
"17!" Android 18 gasped, instantly twisting her body and launching a powerful kick backward.
Gohan's figure flickered.
In the next instant, he appeared in front of her, pressing his right palm forward as a terrifying surge of ki erupted.
"Ahhh!" Android 18 screamed and staggered back dozens of steps.
Gohan lowered his hand calmly, "Do you still want to continue fighting?"
Android 18 clenched her teeth, "I can't beat you… but I beg you—please let 17 go!"
Gohan smiled faintly, "Did I ever say I was going to kill you?"
Android 18 froze, "You're not killing us? Aren't you afraid we'll kill Goku?"
Gohan yawned, "If you have the ability, then go ahead and try."
Android 18 stared at him in disbelief.
"You're really… letting us go?"
"Gohan!" Piccolo called out urgently.
"That's right," Gohan replied calmly. "I didn't kill Vegeta either, did I?"
At that moment, Android 16 walked over, lifted the unconscious Android 17, and placed him over his shoulder.
"Let's go, 18."
Android 18 was briefly stunned.
You didn't even fight—but you're the fastest one to leave.
Just as they turned to go, Gohan suddenly spoke.
"Hey, Android 18—how old are you?"
"Ha?"
"Your name is 18. Does that mean you're eighteen years old?"
Android 18 snorted coldly.
"Then he's called 16—does that mean he's sixteen?"
"This…"
"And you should never ask a woman her age!"
"Why?"
"You'll understand when you grow up."
"Grow up…"
With that, Android 18 left together with Android 16.
Soon after, Piccolo and the others flew over.
"Gohan, why did you let them go?" Piccolo asked.
"Because I don't think they're as heartless as Trunks said," Gohan replied, glancing at Vegeta lying on the ground.
"Uncle Krillin, do you have a Senzu Bean?"
"Yes!" Krillin immediately flew down and fed Vegeta one.
Vegeta's injuries healed instantly, and he opened his eyes.
"Where are Android 17 and 18?"
"They've already left."
"Left?" Vegeta's face twisted with rage.
"Damn it!"
He had wanted to defeat them himself—to prove his strength.
Instead, he had been defeated by Android 17, losing face completely.
"Uncle Krillin, shall we head back?"
"Okay," Krillin nodded.
The group took off together, flying into the sky. Only Vegeta remained standing where he was.
"Vegeta!" Krillin looked back.
Piccolo shook his head, "It's fine. Let him cool off."
Krillin nodded.
Meanwhile…
Android 16 carried Android 17 to a small river and gave him some water.
Android 17 slowly regained consciousness.
"Where's Gohan?"
"He's gone," Android 16 replied.
"Gone?"
"Yes. After defeating you and 18, he let us go."
"18!" Android 17 immediately looked toward her.
She was leaning against a tree, arms crossed.
"Did he knock you out too?"
"No."
"No?!" Android 17 was shocked.
"So he only knocked me out?"
"What, are you disappointed I wasn't?" Android 18 shot him a cold glance.
"No! I was just curious!" Android 17 waved his hands quickly.
"So… where do we go next?"
"I don't know. Let's go explore a nearby city."
"Mm."
Android 17 nodded.
Three days passed in the blink of an eye.
After battling the viral heart disease, Goku finally began to recover.
For those three days, Chi-Chi hadn't left his side for even a moment.
"Chi-Chi…" Goku looked at her sleeping beside him, deeply moved.
She stirred and opened her eyes.
"Goku!"
"I'm mostly better now," Goku got out of bed.
"You've worked so hard these past few days."
"It's nothing. It's what a wife should do."
"Where's Gohan?"
"He's in the living room."
"I see."
Goku walked out immediately.
"Dad!"
Goku nodded, "Did you find the Androids?"
"Yes."
"Did you eliminate them?"
"No."
"Why? Were they stronger than you?"
"They weren't like the Androids Trunks described, so I let them go."
"I see."
Just then—
Ding-dong.
The doorbell rang.
Gohan opened the door and saw a girl with twin pigtails.
It was Videl.
"Videl?"
She smiled brightly, "So this really is your house!"
At that moment, Goku walked over.
"Aren't you…?"
"Hello, Uncle. My name is Videl. We met at the restaurant."
"Oh, right. What brings you here?"
Videl smiled.
"I came to see Gohan."
"Gohan?"
"Yes! I want to spar with him."
Goku looked at Gohan and laughed.
"Well, Gohan, since she came all this way, why don't you spar with her?"
"Okay."
"Thank you, Uncle!"
Videl turned to Gohan, smiling eagerly.
"So—how about we spar in your yard?"
Gohan looked at her enthusiasm and suddenly felt like he'd invited trouble.
"…Alright."
He wasn't particularly interested, but since she'd come all the way here, he couldn't exactly refuse.
