Lucille didn't press on the subject anymore. Even though she was still worried, she believed in Ashrik's abilities. The military, and even Genesis, wouldn't be able to catch him easily.
Then, his question pulled her out of her short trance. "Want to cultivate tonight?"
Lucille blinked. A quick shake of her head followed. Her lips curved as she chuckled, half-joking, "Let's continue after you advance. Maybe you'll be more useful once you're one level higher ah."
Ashrik snorted, throwing her a look of mock disdain. "Tsk, don't set your expectations too high."
"I'm not," she replied solemnly this time, then added, "I have faith in your potential."
He laughed, the sound low and warm in the late afternoon. An easy, helpless smile spread on his lips. "Alright, I know you do. Though, to be honest, I wonder about that too."
Lucille lifted her brows as she understood what Ashrik meant. The Stone was still a mystery to them.
