Chapter 35: Returning to the Same World
The morning sunlight in the Hamptons that day felt warmer, washing over the villa's wooden floor in a calm golden hue. At the long wooden dining table that faced the sea directly, Scarlett sat sipping her tea. She was no longer wearing Julian's oversized cardigan; today, she wore a cream silk nightgown that revealed the firm line of her shoulders beginning to return.
Julian sat across from her, occupied with a tablet in his left hand and black coffee in his right. He looked far more human this morning, though his blue shirt, unbuttoned at the top, still radiated a masculine and intimidating aura.
"Julian," Scarlett called softly.
Julian did not look up immediately, his fingers still moving across the screen. "Hmm?"
"I want to film again. I want to return to the set of The Silent Heart."
