During the break, Gohan asked Goku to teach him the Metamoran Fusion Dance.
The Metamoran Fusion Dance is actually very simple.
It's mainly a set of Fusion steps; Gohan learned it after one look.
Next, the two fusers must keep their Qi identical—also not hard.
Combine the two parts, avoid mistakes, and the Fusion succeeds.
Success grants a warrior who surpasses all limits.
Duration: thirty minutes.
Difficulty: one star.
Evaluation: game-breaker...
For the next month, whenever he was free, Gohan visited the Kaioshin Realm to study how to open pocket dimensions with Supreme Kai.
After a full month, he finally mastered it, creating a two-cubic-meter subspace.
He stuffed storage capsules and other valuables inside; taking them out at will was far easier than before.
In the second month, Gohan took Trunks to Hell to see Vegeta.
Vegeta was as cold as ever, back turned to the world.
Even his own son Trunks could not sway his Dao Heart; he remained utterly ruthless.
Still, Gohan sensed Vegeta's physique had grown stronger—likely from furious training after regaining a body.
Seeing Vegeta act as if he wanted nothing to do with him, Trunks looked lost.
Yet as they were leaving, Vegeta spoke a line that lifted the boy's spirits.
"Trunks, you've done well these years..."
In the third month, Gohan and Trunks returned to Yardrat.
They came to learn the move they hadn't had time for before.
Gigantification!
Yardrat's gigantification differs from that of Planet Namek's warriors.
Namekian growth is more a racial gift—innate and impossible to learn.
But Yardrat's version is completely different.
It's a way of manipulating Spirit, something that can be studied and copied.
Gigantification splits into full-body and partial enlargement.
For instance, you can suddenly balloon a fist to the size of a wok—or even a truck.
Or you can enlarge your entire self at once.
Think of it as an upgraded version of Luffy's Gear Third.
Mastering it took them a whole month.
By the time they returned to Earth, Dende had already been sent back by Kibito... On the plaza of the Lookout stood four people.
They were Gohan, Trunks, Dende, and Mr. Popo.
They were discussing something.
Dende said, "Gohan, Trunks, the dragon balls are active again. One of you collect them; I'm going to upgrade them."
Gohan turned to Trunks. "Trunks, you handle this."
Trunks nodded. "Sure, big brother Gohan."
With that, Trunks Instant-Transmissioned home, grabbed the dragon radar, and began gathering the dragon balls.
Gohan walked to the edge of the plaza. "Dende, you remember what I mentioned last time in the Kaioshin Realm? Please help me find someone."
"Of course I remember." Dende stepped beside him, focused his power, and gazed toward the mortal world.
A moment later.
"Well?" Gohan asked.
Dende frowned, puzzled. "Strange—I found Puar and Oolong, but I can't locate Old Man Master Roshi."
"That's impossible. Fortune Teller Baba said he's not dead and his Soul hasn't reached the Underworld, so he should still be on Earth," Gohan said, surprised.
"Then I don't know. We can ask Oolong and Puar; they might know."
"All right, give me their location."
"Put your hand on my shoulder; then you'll sense where they are."
"Got it." Gohan complied, silently noting that every god seemed to know this trick.
He rested a hand on Dende's shoulder.
Instantly, it felt as though he'd opened an all-seeing god's-eye view.
Soon he spotted Oolong and Puar hiding inside a submarine in the East Sea.
"Their Qi..."
Gohan frowned.
Neither Oolong nor Puar possessed any Qi.
The two weren't martial artists; they lacked surging energy.
All they had was the presence of life.
Still, with Dende's god-view, Gohan quickly locked onto Puar's life signature and Instant-Transmissioned over.
East Sea.
A submarine lying on the seabed.
Oolong and Puar looked utterly hopeless.
The android calamity had raged for more than ten years.
The first few years they'd hidden everywhere with Master Roshi.
Later they found a decent sub and stayed hidden inside for several more.
Every so often they'd surface to resupply, then dive again.
But over a year ago, Master Roshi went ashore and never returned.
Only the two pets were left, depending on each other inside the submarine.
They had no idea what was happening outside.
Each time they restocked, they dared not stray far, grabbing some fresh water and seafood before scurrying back.
Now their worry was the sub's dwindling power.
They'd even stopped playing the radio to conserve energy.
Yet no matter how much they scrimped, the batteries were almost dead.
Which meant that without a new power source, they could no longer stay hidden in the sub.
Oolong lay on the sofa, gloomy. "Puar, do you think we'll die here?"
Puar thought a moment, then decided to be bold. "Oolong, let's go ashore and hide in the mountains instead."
"But if we do that, how will Master Roshi find us when he comes back?"
"True... what should we do? Sigh..."
The instant Puar finished, Gohan whooshed into the sub.
Startled by the sudden intruder, Oolong let out a pig-like shriek and fainted.
Puar's fur bristled as she screamed "Ahhh—"
Her voice, high and girlish, doubled the piercing effect.
Then she too passed out from fright.
"Such cowards!"
Gohan sighed, grabbed both by the scruff, and Instant-Transmissioned away.
He dumped them on the Lookout's plaza.
A bucket of water splashed over them.
"Ahhh—"
Two more shrill screams; Gohan helplessly covered his ears.
"Stop yelling—it's me, Gohan. Open your eyes first."
