Gohan walked toward the Supreme Kai.
"Supreme Kai, I kept my word. I only destroyed three mountain ranges."
The Supreme Kai also breathed a sigh of relief.
The destruction was much less than expected. Thank goodness, the ancestors must be watching over us.
However, the Supreme Kai's smile was still a little strained.
"Mr. Gohan, here." He said, handing over Gohan's capsules.
"Thank you," Gohan replied, taking the capsules.
Kibito looked at the disheveled Goku and decided to give him a new change of clothes, but he absolutely refused to heal his injuries.
With a wave of his hand, Goku's tattered orange martial arts uniform was instantly restored to pristine condition.
What amazing magic.
Goku was astonished by this.
Gohan smiled and said to the Supreme Kai, "Supreme Kai, could you teach me how to open up a different dimension for storing things? It's very inconvenient for me to put things away and take them out right now."
"During battle, I'm always afraid that the capsules I carry will break."
"Well..." The Supreme Kai hesitated for a few seconds before continuing, "It's not impossible, but this involves some knowledge of magic. I don't know if Mr. Gohan has the talent for it."
"Hey, you won't know if you have the talent until you try learning it," Gohan said nonchalantly.
"Alright then, I will take the time to explain to Mr. Gohan how to open up a different dimension," the Supreme Kai finally agreed with a nod.
"Hahaha, that's wonderful."
Dende came forward. "Gohan, long time no see."
"It has been, Dende. How is your studying going here?" Gohan asked, putting an arm around Dende's shoulder.
Dende didn't mind Gohan having his arm around him at all. "The Elder Kai has taught me many things and even unlocked my potential. I'll be able to upgrade the Dragon Balls soon."
"Hohoho, that's great! Triple happiness!" Gohan laughed, sounding like Frieza.
"Gohan, what are the three happy occasions?" Dende asked curiously.
"It's nothing, nothing at all."
"Here we go, time to eat."
As Gohan spoke, he pulled out a capsule, pressed the button, and dropped it onto the ground with a BOOM, where it transformed into a huge takeout container.
"Ah, is it time to eat?" Goku, who had just been listless, immediately brightened up and walked over.
"Yes, time to eat. But Dad, you need to eat less. You already finished two tables worth by yourself earlier," Gohan said helplessly.
"Fine, but I'm still not full," Goku muttered, feeling a little wronged.
"You're dead now, so you don't actually need to eat," Gohan said, looking up at the halo above Goku's head.
"No way, that would be boring," Goku shook his head repeatedly, refusing the idea.
Gohan ignored him and turned to the Supreme Kai and Kibito, complaining:
"Do you two have any consideration? Conjure up a big table and chairs, seriously."
"Oh, right."
"Yes, yes."
The two raised their hands.
One conjured a large table.
The other conjured six chairs.
"Gohan is so strict now," Goku couldn't help but comment, then quickly came over to help, placing the takeout boxes one by one onto the table.
Dende also helped, and the three quickly covered the huge table with delicious food.
"Hey, old man, stop reading that magazine and come to the table."
"Hey, you little rascal!"
"Keep reading, and I'll confiscate it."
"Oh, I'm coming."
The group sat around the table, their appetites roused by the colorful, fragrant, and delicious-looking food.
But Dende had no interest at all.
Since he didn't need to eat food, he only required water and photosynthesis.
Gohan took out two bottles of special drinks and handed them to Dende.
"Dende, try this. I guarantee it's a taste you've never experienced before."
"Thank you," Dende said, touched, as he took the drinks.
This feeling of being valued was wonderful.
This must be what a good friend is like, Dende thought to himself, feeling that Gohan was truly great.
During the meal, Gohan asked the Supreme Kai, "Supreme Kai, could you help me find someone on Earth? He's hidden his Ki, so I can't locate him. You should have a way, right?"
"Of course," Supreme Kai Shin nodded.
But the Elder Kai interrupted him. "Just let Dende find him. He's the Guardian of Earth; finding one person is easy for him. It would be overkill for a Supreme Kai like you to do it."
"Ah, you're right. I hadn't considered that," Gohan replied.
"In that case, Dende can help look for him when he returns to Earth."
"Mhm, no problem," Dende agreed with a nod.
Goku, his mouth crammed full, asked curiously, "Goh-an, who are you l-ooking f-or?"
Out of six syllables, only one was recognizable.
Gohan replied, "I'm looking for Master Roshi. Fortuneteller Baba said he, Puar, and Oolong are hiding in a submarine in the East Sea, but I couldn't find them when I went. Master Roshi must have hidden his Ki."
"Oh, okay," Goku mumbled, stuffing an entire duck leg into his mouth.
The food battle concluded half an hour later.
The winners were Goku and Gohan.
Looking at the messy battlefield, the Supreme Kai raised his hand and cleared away all the garbage and chairs.
The father and son patted their bulging stomachs and rested on the grass, marveling at the beauty of life and good food.
Not long after, the Supreme Kai came over, ready to teach Gohan how to open up a different dimension.
Bored, Goku sat down nearby to listen in.
The Supreme Kai sat cross-legged opposite them and spoke eloquently about the knowledge of magic.
"Speaking of opening up a different dimension, we must first start with the most basic magical knowledge. And what we will be discussing is fundamental space-related magic..."
"You can only open up a different dimension if you master a bit of spatial magic."
"First..."
Goku, listening nearby, quickly grew drowsy. He couldn't understand what the Supreme Kai was talking about at all; it just sounded incredibly difficult, confusing, and utterly incomprehensible.
Gohan, however, was much better off and listened with great interest.
He felt that the magical knowledge the Supreme Kai was discussing was somewhat similar to the Ki structure knowledge taught by Elder Pibala of Planet Yardrat.
Could it be that all things share the same origin and ultimately lead to the same destination?
However, Gohan forgot that his current body was the fusion of two souls, meaning his mental strength, soul power, and comprehension abilities were incomparable to before.
It was perfectly normal for him to understand the magical knowledge explained by the Supreme Kai.
If he were his former self, he would probably be staring blankly like Goku.
Half a day quickly passed.
The Supreme Kai finally finished explaining the relevant basic magical knowledge.
Gohan frowned, contemplating the key points for a few minutes.
Then he stood up and instantly entered his Mystic state.
Immediately following, he delivered a full-power punch into the air.
"Crack!"
A fissure suddenly opened in the void.
Gohan's fist had punched straight into an unknown different dimension.
"This..." The onlookers were all dumbfounded.
Gohan, however, was unfazed. He squatted down to carefully observe the dark fissure, pondering where this rift led.
But the fissure quickly closed.
Nevertheless, Gohan had gained a better understanding of the so-called different dimension.
