The final seals around the fragment cracked with a low, grinding sound that rolled across the platforms. Red light spilled out in thicker waves, and the pull toward Wei Chen's bloodline grew sharper. The rival felt it too. His golden energy flared as he tried to force the fight closer to the source before the connection could settle any further.
Wei Chen met the next heavy strike with a denser burst of Yang. The collision split another section of the platform and sent cracks racing outward. He moved with the new strength the fragment was feeding him, faster and more precise than before. The rival's refined power still carried weight, but the balance had tilted.
Around them the rest of the group kept the battlefield from collapsing into chaos. Tigress Yu and Zhao Yin cut down residual shadow energy that kept rising under the fragment's light. Huo Yan timed her flames with the ice from Lan Qing and Mei Yun, creating controlled bursts that cleared space whenever the platforms shifted. The disciples held the edges, finishing anything that slipped past with short, efficient boosts from the harmony scripture.
The seals continued to break. Each new crack released another surge of old power that answered Wei Chen more readily than the rival. The red light ahead grew brighter, and the location of the fragment became clearer in his mind.
During a short stretch where the rival was forced to block a rapid series of strengthened bursts, the pressure on the surrounding platforms eased just enough. Wei Chen passed Tigress Yu, checked the cut on her arm with a glance, then rubbed her firmly between her legs while speaking low.
"Still steady. Keep it that way."
She gave a short breath and pressed against his hand for a few seconds before he turned back to the rival.
A little later, while the disciples cleared broken stone from a shifting edge, Wei Chen pulled Zhao Yin close behind a more stable section. He guided her down, pushed into her mouth, and moved with controlled rhythm while the main clash continued nearby. She took him quietly until he pulled back and stepped into the fight again.
The rival pressed harder, trying to break the rhythm before the fragment's power could settle further. Golden energy left deeper marks across the stone. Wei Chen matched him with the denser Yang, slipping through openings and answering with focused bursts that forced the rival to give ground in small increments.
In a brief opening after a heavy exchange, Wei Chen found Lan Qing steadying her breathing near the edge. He dropped lower, parted her legs, and licked her with focused pressure until her thighs tensed and she came with a soft, controlled sound. He stood, wiped his mouth, and moved back into position.
Mei Yun received a short moment while she prepared another cast. He stood behind her, cupped her breasts, and moved his thumbs across her nipples as he spoke close to her ear.
"Keep the mix ready. The seals are almost gone."
She nodded, a light flush on her face, and continued.
The clash intensified again. More seals gave way. Red light flooded the area, mixing with the golden and Yang energy already present. Residual shadow energy from the older layers stirred harder. Tigress Yu and Zhao Yin moved quickly to cut it down. Huo Yan and the ice queens launched a strong combined blast that cleared a wider path toward the deeper light. The disciples held formation and prevented anything from reaching the center.
Wei Chen felt the fragment's connection deepen another layer. A temporary rise in the density of his Yang spread through him, sharper and more responsive. The rival saw the change and his expression darkened.
He gathered a larger amount of golden energy than before. The pressure around him rose sharply. At the same time the fragment's red light pulsed harder, as if answering the challenge directly.
Wei Chen prepared to meet the next full strike. The two powers built toward another collision as the last of the old seals continued to break under the force of the fight and the fragment's awakening.
The red light ahead flared once more. The final barrier around the fragment began to split open.
