Chapter 249 - Environmental Conditional Huge Nen Ability - Chapter 249

Conrad knew without needing to think much about it.

If these frogs were capable of using even the basics of Nen, the battle would change a lot.

After killing more than a hundred frog beasts, he stopped for a moment and used his En to sense the other frogs.

"They are not attacking anymore." Conrad thought as he felt the positions of the remaining frogs hidden in the caves and cracks of the wall, looking at him with fear and not knowing what they should do.

Seeing their behavior, Conrad could not help but think something important.

"According to the rules."

"They should keep attacking me."

"If they are not attacking me when the rule is broken..."

"It can only mean two things."

"Either the rule is not true and there is no such rule in the first place, or the rule is not actively encouraging them to attack the rule-breakers, and it is a suggestion of some sort."

"I also need to think there is maybe some sort of a prize involved..."

"It would not be weird for such a rule to have a prize and punishment in return for enforcing the rule."

Conrad took a deep breath and then stopped for a moment to close his eyes.

"Now."

"I have learned many things about the place."

"Ancient Deep is the official name; ten to fifteen races live there. There are seven rules that they need to follow; the creatures above are usually the predators of the creatures just below them..."

"All the food is about 'blue ice grass'; it is a great enough food to never be boring for them, and it grants them power."

Conrad's eyes changed as he went to the side of a grass that he saw, this time wanting to look more closely at it.

"If I think from a nen perspective, eating and consuming this grass can be used as an activation condition for a nen ability..."

"Or, it could be the prize after fulfilling some conditions."

"Humans most of the time never lacked food or an environment."

"There are some that lack both of these things, but it is because of greed and social reasons of the human race, not because there is not enough food and environment for everyone."

For a race that is not able to find a safe place to live and always about to die from hunger, a type of food that never bores them and also enhances them... coupled with the area for them to keep on living without many problems.

"I guess that would be a great bait for them."

Conrad understood something as he learned more about the non-human uses of different kinds of beings than humans do.

He saw that most of them had complex neural abilities that did not involve a singular individual in the true sense but targeted a huge number of people.

Like a race, like a city at the very least.

"It does make sense to have such an ability."

"Whenever I thought of a big ability that would be effective for the masses, I thought of Prince Sale-Sale Nen's ability..."

"That was a manipulator ability that worked like a virus..."

"Whenever one spends enough time with Prince Sale-Sale, their thoughts of him increase."

"In the original series, if he were not killed, he would be a pretty great emperor from the ability itself."

Conrad made a note for himself to start working on a mapability.

With this plan and capability to create new abilities, he can create a Nen ability that would be effective among ordinary people with not much of a problem at all.

Especially if he were to put a limitation that the ability only works on non-Nen users, the ability could be greatly enhanced and pretty easy to create without needing some other harsh conditions.

"Okay."

"Enough for thinking."

"I should decide on what I should do with the new knowledge."

Conrad knew that the deeper he went, the more creatures he would encounter, but there were not enough reasons for him to keep on going.

At this point, he acted in the Deep Point or Ancient Deep because he wanted to solve the mystery of it. While solving it, he earned huge amounts of knowledge about how a Nen ability works and can be created.

Basically, "ideas" that are valuable.

Conrad let out a deep breath.

"It has been two to three hours since I have entered this area."

"I guess I may go to my own room and come back here."

Conrad nodded at his thoughts and then smiled.

"When I go back, most of those creatures will attack me to stop me, according to the rules."

"I do not want to kill most of them, but if they attack, I cannot do anything about it."

Conrad knew that it would make sense to take some of them with himself to inspect later on.

Truth be told, he did not know much about biology and other matters involving creatures, but this did not mean that he could not find hunters or professionals that know much about these things on the surface.

"Okay then."

"It is decided."

"I will go back to my room for some time and collect parts of creatures if they attack me."

"Then, I will decide on a new plan to enter or maybe even go to Heart Ice before coming back here."

Conrad, with these thoughts, started manipulating his orb to go up.

Second, as the Orb started going up, the Frogs who were still watching started attacking like they were mad dogs.

Conrad quickly killed several of them with his cane, and then he got hold of the last one that jumped towards him.

After simply crushing it neck and kill instead of Cane, he started flying. While flying, he made a karate-chop hand motion and cut some valuable and interesting parts from the frog and then placed them on his bag.

"Okay."

"Now, I need to gather one or two fruit flies, some wings of the bats, and one eaglesnake as well as some tentacle."

He then continued to go up at a pretty fast rate.
