After the truck drive was over, Tetro led Conrad and Dali to a clothing shop; they bought clothes that fit the Cradle City, and then Tetro led them to a known hotel for their rooms.
After the rooms were done and both of them rented their room for one month, Tetro gave them two maps of the city and then left after saying where they could find help if they needed it.
After Tetro led, Dali looked at Conrad and then said.
"I guess I am not going to start researching today."
"Do you want to eat something?"
Conrad looked at Dali and then nodded.
"Okay."
With this, Duo went outside of the hotel and looked at the map and chose a relatively good restaurant. After entering inside, they noticed that the people inside looked at them for a moment before turning their heads.
"One look and they can tell that we do not belong here." Dali said.
Conrad smiled.
"It is similar to locals understanding which people are tourists."
Dali nodded.
The duo sat at the corner table for two, and then a waiter arrived.
"What I can get you for the mister and the lady."
Conrad looked at the menu and then looked at Dali.
Dali then said.
"I guess Set Meat Menu 2 is great."
Conrad nodded.
"Two, Meat Menu 2."
The waiter nodded and then left.
Dali looked at the people and said.
"Did you notice?"
"These people have white skin like nobody else."
"It must be because they live here most of the time, have their lives, and do not have problems in terms of sunlight."
Conrad nodded.
Dali then looked at Conrad for a moment and asked.
"I met with some hunters while I was in college."
"Can I ask you something?"
Conrad tilted his head right.
"Go right ahead," he said.
Dali then took a deep breath and spoke.
"Whenever I meet with hunters, I feel that they are different..."
"This feeling is not the same feeling I get when I meet with geniuses or people with a huge amount of experience in science fields."
"It is something more deep, something that I cannot name..."
"Do you know the reason for it?"
Conrad smiled and nodded.
"She can feel 'nen' without being a nen user," he thought.
He then looked at the woman in her eyes.
"I know what you are talking about."
Dali stopped for a moment; five seconds passed in silence.
"By your silence, I get that you are not going to explain it to me?"
Conrad did not say anything for a moment.
"It is something deep as you said, but anybody can have it as long as they train for it."
"It may change your whole understanding of the world and people."
Dali smirked.
"When you put it like that, I just want to know more; you know I am a seeker of knowledge...."
Conrad took a deep breath and then said it.
"It is called 'Nen.'"
Dali thought.
"Nen," she murmured.
At the same time, two waiters arrived with plates of meat, vegetables, and some wine on the side.
"Please, enjoy your meal," the older waiter said and then left.
Conrad looked at the woman and then said.
"Stop thinking about it for the time being."
"I will give you two or three papers explaining the basics; you can check them out later."
"If you can understand, you are capable of using the basics and the paper I will give you."
"You will be naturally inclined to find more about it."
"Then we can talk more about it."
Dali nodded.
"That is a deal," she said, and then the duo enjoyed their food and wine.
One hour later, after they spent some time talking after their food, Conrad paid for the food as a gentleman, and then Dali said she wanted to go back to her room to rest.
Conrad nodded and then said that he was still okay in shape and wanted to look around. Dali said nothing as she left.
Conrad, now alone, opened the map and looked at it.
"What I want to know is in three places."
"The Cradle Deep Mine, anybody can enter as long as they don't bother and agree with the safety rules."
"The Deep Point, a deeper area in the Cradle City, is also the blue-ice forming ground; this is the area where the cold comes from."
"Finally, The Heart Ice; this is a forbidden area that nobody is allowed to enter."
"For Blue-Ice Core, I need to explore Deep Point, and for Mystery Ice, I need to sneak into The Heart Ice area."
"The Cradle Deep Mine is just to understand the material they are mining, Blue Ice Minions."
"It is really useful in industry due to its capabilities."
Conrad knew that "Deep Mine" is easy to enter; Deep Point is dangerous but still easy to enter, as it is just a deep area not that guarded.
But Heart Ice will be a problem.
"I guess with my abilities, it should be not a big problem."
"I should start choosing my places for obelisks."
"Even with my obelisks, I cannot cover most of the area."
"I need to be on point when it comes to forming the general sensing area."
"It should be closer to Heart Ice and Deep Point; the mines are not that problematic."
Conrad took a deep breath and first went to a coffe shop to drink some coffe.
Before sleeping, he wanted to visit the mines, as it was the easiest area to enter and not illegal or forbidden in any way.
As long as he spends one month's time in this cold environment without using his nen to protect himself from the cold completely, the second condition of the first creational condition will be completed.
It may seem easy, but even non-users cannot feel greatly weakened and uncomfortable in the -40 degrees of Celsius, one month of this great condition when other conditions are added on top of it.
"Now."
"Let's see if they have a great coffee shop around here." Conrad looked at the map again this time for fun.
Just because he is here for powering up and creating new abilities does not mean that he cannot just venture and discover the city itself.
He is human and wants to have fun in these kinds of times too.
