Chapter 197 - A Special Area For The Leader - Chapter 197

Conrad then closed his eyes for a moment, and then he manifested right beside Elden, with a simple jab to his neck that was not powered by the nen. He put the man to sleep, and then he continued to appear and vanish until all the henchmen and guards inside of the room were put to sleep.

This whole action took only three seconds to complete.

He then opened the room and then did the same.

For ordinary people to notice him, that he is not somebody who is supposed to be in the room and react accordingly, he moved and took care of them.

There was no time for them to react at all.

After all the people were put to sleep.

Conrad gathered all of the guards to the room and then looked at Elden.

"These people think that they are some sort of big shots," he thought and shook his head.

He looked at the guards and then thought.

"There is no logical reason to kill them, as they don't even see my face enough to remember."

Conrad then let out a deep breath and took the man to his shoulder and then left the hotel room from where he came, on the top of his orbs.

After he took the man to his house in twenty minutes, he splashed water on his face and made him wake up.

As the man was about to talk cliches and start demanding some things from him, like this is ordinary kidnapping, Conrad radiated some aura and stopped the man in his tracks.

"You know from deep within your soul that we are not equal and you have no power to demand anything," Conrad said.

Elden looked at Conrad as he felt terrified due to intent from Conrad and an invisible bad feeling due to Conrad's aura and nodded.

"I understand," he said, using a pretty huge amount of willpower to speak.

Conrad nodded.

"Great."

"Now."

"I do not have any problem with you or your gang."

"I need to know about location and any information on the members of Light Upon Us."

"Do not lie to me; I'm about to know them."

Elden gulped as he heard Light Upon Us.

If this man is involved with them in any kind of a connection, be it enemy or friend, it means that things are much bigger than he was, and he needs to tread carefully to keep his life between his hands.

"I don't know much about them."

"I will tell everything I know and will be honest." Elden said and then took a deep breath as he started speaking.

When encountering such a powerful enemy and existence of nen as a fear factor, Conrad did not need to take violent actions to torture.

The aura filled with killing intent is enough torture and violence for their mind to not need any kind of violent actions.

"I know that they are mostly in Blue Mountain City - Centralking."

"Centralking is a mountainside, where the richest people and people with power different than money live, such as government people and people from V5 and more."

Conrad nodded.

"Centralking - The Bluenight Manor."

"It is their headquarters; I have never been, as only people that are official members and quasi-members are allowed to enter the land."

"Manor, and it is around lands, forests, and some of the parts of the mountain—all belong to the owner."

"The leader of the Light Upon Us."

Conrad nodded again and touched his chin.

"It seems to be harder than usual." Conrad thought as he looked at Elden deep in the eye to keep him talking.

Elden then continued.

"I know there are three distinct levels."

"Followers, Quasi-Members, Official Members."

"For one to be a follower, they need to prove themselves in some sort of a weird, religion-like ritual."

"For me to be a quasi-member, even more things are demanded, but I don't know anything."

"Same for becoming an official member too."

"My contact is named Mastirilda Anyolix, a quasi member."

"I only spoke to him two times and then only got in contact with 'followers' that are connected to him."

"I believe every quasi-member has two hundred to three hundred followers that they are supposed to manage."

"They..." Elden thought, and his eyes went blank for a moment because he remembered something.

"Quasi-members are weird to us..."

"They are capable of superhuman acts; they are still afraid of guns but still much more powerful, and there is something unnatural about them."

Conrad smiled.

"Quasi members, at least low-level ones, are just regular new NEN users; high-level ones must be similar to experienced Heaven's Arena members."

"If my theory is correct, official members must be upper-level in the heavens arena, and stronger ones should, like two enforcers may have power levels similar to Reginald and floor masters with great fighting capability."

Conrad also knew that a powerful Nen user did not necessarily mean a powerful direct fighting capability, but still, they would have more capability than an ordinary Nen user that focuses on battles.

"Okay."

Conrad then thought for a moment and nodded.

"The summary is that quasi-members control followers, followers form a gang for more money and power, and wait for their turn to become quasi-members."

"When quasi-members want to be official members, they must complete some task for the organization, the cult."

"According to the words from Elden, even followers and quasi-followers must perform some sort of a ritual."

"I am not sure of the ritual, as it is a cult-type organization; it may have something to do with some sort of a new condition that 'Adex' may set up for more power."

"Who knows, maybe they use these small rituals for manipulation-type abilities or form an aura battery.

"A new ability that involves harsh conditions being placed upon people and, in return, gaining some of their aura to store to use in some other places is feasible," Conrad thought.

"It seems like this mission and Light Upon Us are bigger targets than I thought they would be."
