Chapter 260 - Chapter 263 What exactly does he want?

Chapter 263 What exactly does he want?

Surtur was furious at Finni's contempt, but he remained calmly seated on his throne and asked, "What exactly is your purpose?"

This was the third time he had met Finni, and he was somewhat confused about what Finni wanted.

If it was to kill him, the previous two battles seemed illogical, but if not, he didn't understand why Finni was so provocative.

  "A friendly spar!"

Finni immediately replied to Surtur's question. Although his face was obscured by his visor, Surtur was sure he could sense sincerity in his voice.

  "Whoosh!"

The Twilight Sword plunged into the ground, and Surtur certainly felt it, but he felt it was mockery.

"I will make you pay the price, Finni Helsez!"

Surtur finally stopped calling Finni an insect or an ant. After all, he had already lost twice, and calling Finni that would make him seem trashy too.

  "Bring it on!"

Finney patted his chest confidently. He had spent the last few days studying Surtur's fighting style and tactics, giving him immense confidence for this battle.

  ...

However, Finney forgot that Surtur wasn't the only opponent.

Although the dragon was ugly, its strength was not to be underestimated. With Surtur coordinating with it, the confident Finney was actually suppressed.

Finney considered summoning the Blue-Eyes White Dragon for help, but he felt it was a better way to hone his skills, so he refrained from doing so.

This battle lasted even longer than the second one. Surtur's newly built underground palace collapsed again, turning into ruins, and the fighting even spilled from underground to the surface.

Surtur didn't care about being exposed anymore; his only thought was to capture Finney and torture him thoroughly.

Because it was a two-on-one battle, Finney was almost constantly on the defensive, only managing a few occasional counterattacks that allowed Surtur to finally vent his anger.

This battle was arguably the most arduous one Finney had ever faced since his debut, though a large part of the reason was due to his own actions.

However, by now, Finney felt he had honed his skills sufficiently, and the several close calls had given him a deeper understanding of his shortcomings.

But if the battle continued like this, he might have to retreat, thus missing out on experience points.

So, after some hesitation, Finney finally succumbed to the temptation of the 45 experience points and resolutely summoned the Blue-Eyes White Dragon.

While dodging attacks, Finney rapidly summoned the Blue-Eyes White Dragon card.

The reason he had been on the defensive throughout the battle was largely due to the dragon. He had studied Surtur thoroughly, but knew nothing about the dragon.

Therefore, he had to focus a significant portion of his attention on the dragon, carefully observing its attacks and abilities.

  "Come forth, Blue-Eyes White Dragon!"

The card flashed with dazzling light, transforming into a massive Blue-Eyes White Dragon amidst Surtur's wary gaze and attempts to stop it.

Upon its appearance, sensing the atmosphere of battle, the Blue-Eyes White Dragon roared loudly.

Surtur was dumbfounded by the enormous and ferocious Blue-Eyes White Dragon; he couldn't understand how a dragon had suddenly appeared on the battlefield.

Seeing the roaring Blue-Eyes White Dragon, the Demon Dragon was about to retaliate with a roar, but upon seeing the Blue-Eyes White Dragon turn its head to look at it, it let out a whimper, its body even trembling slightly.

The Demon Dragon felt a bloodline-based suppression emanating from the Blue-Eyes White Dragon.

Finney looked at the Blue-Eyes White Dragon and the Demon Dragon with some surprise. Although he didn't know the reason, he could see that the Demon Dragon seemed somewhat afraid of the Blue-Eyes White Dragon.

  "What is this thing?"

Surtur, gripping the Twilight Sword, shouted at Finni. He too had seen the dragon's appearance and was both shocked and terrified by the blue-eyed white dragon he had never seen before.

Finni flew beside the blue-eyed white dragon, touching its pure white scales, and replied to Surtur, "You're allowed to call me 'little brother,' but I can't summon my companions?"

Surtur was speechless. Victory was within reach, but he hadn't expected Finni to have such a trump card. However, he didn't give up.

  "Attack!"

Surtur commanded the dragon to continue its attack, hoping in his heart that the blue-eyed white dragon was only fierce in appearance and weak in reality.

But Surtur was destined to be disappointed.

When the blue-eyed white dragon unleashed its full power, even Finni himself had to temporarily retreat. Not to mention its exceptionally sharp claws and teeth, he didn't dare to directly withstand even a single 'Explosive Gale Bullet'.

Seeing the dragon, hesitant yet charging forward recklessly to attack under orders, Finney smiled contemptuously and said, "You've been chasing me for so long, it's time to teach you a lesson. Blue-Eyes White Dragon, use Explosive Gale Bullet!"

Hearing Finney's command, the Blue-Eyes White Dragon opened its mouth, a dazzling white light emanating from it, which, to Surtur's astonishment, was unleashed upon the dragon.

  "Boom!"

The brilliant white light struck the dragon at incredible speed, accompanied by a scream and an explosion, and the dragon fell to the ground, its fate unknown.

Seeing the Blue-Eyes White Dragon defeat the dragon with a single blow, Surtur felt a tremor in his heart. Seeing Finney's gaze fixed on him, he couldn't help but take a small step back, his intention to retreat fading.

  "I concede!"

Recalling that Finney had said it was a friendly spar, and considering the previous incident, Surtur decisively uttered this, leaving Finney stunned.

  "I surrender!"

Surtur repeated himself, afraid Phineas might not have heard. Although he was the King of Muspelheim, the Ragnarok of Asgard, and the most powerful fire giant, he

was still in his weakest state. Surtur wasn't ashamed to admit defeat.

While comforting himself, Surtur prepared to retreat. He hadn't managed to catch Phineas even in a two-on-one fight, and now, fighting two against one, it was clearly impossible.

  "..."

Phineas looked at Surtur with surprise, disbelief, and a complicated expression, unsure what to say. He clearly hadn't expected Surtur to say something like that, especially repeating it twice.

It made him hesitant to fight back!

Looking at the experience gained from surrendering, Phineas sighed, flew onto the Blue-Eyes White Dragon's back, and, watching Surtur still searching for a retreat route, said,

"Alright, sorry for bothering you today. I'll come again. See you next time!"

With that, Phineas rode away on the Blue-Eyes White Dragon, leaving a bewildered Surtur standing there, lost in thought.

  "What exactly does he want?"

Thinking of what Finni said before leaving, Surtur couldn't help but ponder in confusion, but after thinking for a long time, he still couldn't understand why Finni did this.

After all, he couldn't fathom that Finni would have a system where defeating enemies granted experience, which could then be used to extract skills and become stronger. (

I almost missed my perfect attendance bonus; I still owed a chapter from before this month. Luckily, I finished this one. Poor Surtur~)
