Chapter 259 - Chapter 262 Secret...

Chapter 262 Secret Technique: The Thousand-Year Kill of the Spear - Swallow's Return

Although Finney thought this way, achieving this result wasn't so easy. A serious Surtur was definitely worthy of his 45 experience points, not to mention his strong countermeasures.

Finney stabbed Surtur with the Red-backed Shrike. With the amplified power, each stab created a hole, but Surtur's regenerative ability was extraordinary.

The large wound had no effect on him, and it healed quickly. His magma-like body was merely a vessel; the crown on his head, resembling eyebrows, was his true form.

Finney held his breath, relentlessly beating Surtur while thinking about how to end the fight.

In contrast, Surtur wanted to end the fight even more. Up until now, he had been almost constantly being hit. Finney, after being amplified, surpassed him in every aspect except for his regenerative ability; his ability to endure this long was entirely due to this.

But even the strongest recovery couldn't erase the pain of being beaten. Although he appeared unharmed, Surtur no longer wanted to fight. He knew his time was almost up, and he couldn't fall here. When he finally merged with the Eternal Flame and regained his power, a hundred Phineas wouldn't be enough for him.

  "Stop!"

Taking advantage of a lull in the fighting, Surtur halted the fire demons' attack and called out to Phineas, who was trying to end the battle.

Hearing Surtur's shout, Phineas paused slightly, hesitated for less than a second, and then withdrew the Redback Shrike he had just decided to thrust at a vital spot.

Seeing Phineas retract his spear, Surtur inexplicably breathed a sigh of relief, feeling as if he had dodged something.

"Insect, I admit you do possess some power."

Looking at the arrogant Surtur, Finni was speechless and puzzled, so he quietly watched him, wondering what he was going to do.

"The great Lord of Flames has decided to forgive your sins and allow you to leave. This is my greatest mercy!"

Finni was dumbfounded, seeing Surtur make even his admission of defeat sound so forceful.

  "You lost!"

Finni calmly summarized Surtur's meaning, which immediately enraged him.

"Insect, I just didn't want to kill you!"

  Surtur continued to stubbornly persist.

Finni didn't want to waste words. Taking advantage of Surtur's carelessness, he secretly turned his left hand, and a fist-sized portal suddenly appeared in front of him.

  "Secret Technique: Thousand-Year Spear Kill!"

A cold glint appeared first, followed by a dragon-like spear thrusting out!

The red-backed shrike plunged into the teleportation array, reappearing behind Surtur.

  "Ah!"

Although the crown was its true form, the fiery body still felt pain. Under Finni's shameless sneak attack, Surtur, whose vitals were struck, let out its first agonizing cry.

Finni also looked at the Redback Shrike with heartache. Although this weapon wasn't frequently used, it was, after all, an accessory weapon of 'Possessed by Evil Spirits.' After such a stab, even if it was somewhat unpleasant, it couldn't be discarded.

  "You dare..."

Surtur roared, but before it could finish, Finni's voice rang out:

"Secret Technique: Thousand-Year Killing Spear - Swallow Return!"

The same spot, the same spear, but even deeper pain. Surtur clearly hadn't expected Finni to dare to do it again.

  "Ah!"

Surtur screamed loudly. Although the wound wasn't serious, its location made it exceptionally painful.

  "Secret Technique..."

Hearing Finni's voice, Surtur was startled, instinctively covering his vitals with one hand while shouting, "Enough!"

Finni hadn't expected this to happen again; he only wanted to scare Surtur, but he hadn't anticipated such a strong reaction.

  "What exactly do you want?"

Surtur couldn't understand Finni's purpose. If Odin had sent him, Finni wouldn't deny it; if not, there was no need for them to fight.

  "I admit defeat!"

Finni said to Surtur. He was exhausted from the battle, and if Surtur conceded, he could go back to rest.

Surtur was furious. He was about to say something when he saw Finni raise the Red-backed Shrike again, a chill running down his spine. He immediately said,

  "I lose!"

Although he verbally admitted defeat, in his heart, Surtur was furiously thinking that once he recovered his strength, he would skin Finni alive and torture him in the fire for a million years.

Seeing Surtur so decisively admit defeat, Finney was both surprised and somewhat regretful as he glanced at the pantsless Surtur. "

  Is covering his backside enough?!"

Checking his gained experience, Finney retrieved his Red-backed Shrike. This battle had been more arduous than he'd anticipated, but thankfully, he'd won in the end.

With the battle over, Finney deactivated all his buffs, and exhaustion washed over him.

"Thank you for the treat, I'll be back!"

Despite his physical fatigue, Finney was overjoyed at the experience he'd gained. He left Surtur with a bewildered remark before disappearing through a portal.

Surtur was confused by Finney's sudden appearance and departure, especially by his last words, which left him feeling uneasy.

However, feeling pain in a certain spot, Surtur's anger surged. Even Odin hadn't humiliated him like this. At this moment, his hatred for Finney even rivaled that for Asgard.

So Surtur planned to make some preparations. If Finney dared to come again, even if he couldn't keep him, he absolutely couldn't let him go so easily.

  ...

But the next day, Finney didn't go back to Surtur directly. Instead, he carefully studied the two battles, especially the second one. If it weren't for the unexpected sneak attack that forced Surtur to admit defeat, defeating Surtur wouldn't have been so easy for him.

After thoroughly studying Surtur's abilities based on the two battles, three days had passed. When he excitedly went to fight Surtur, he found that he had actually brought helpers.

"Could this be the dragon Heimdall mentioned!?"

Looking at the ferocious-looking dragon-like creature chained up beside Surtur, Finney suddenly remembered his conversation with Heimdall.

Compared to the Blue-Eyes White Dragon's beautiful face, streamlined body, and silvery-white scales, this dragon couldn't be described as ugly; it was downright hideous.

"You actually dare to come back!"

Sitting on the new throne created by the fire demons, Surtur immediately smelled Finni's scent. He was furious that Finni actually dared to return, yet also excited about the impending revenge.

Finni couldn't understand where Surtur's confidence came from, but still nodded and asked, "Why wouldn't I dare to come back?"

Chapter Two will be a little late; I've been very busy yesterday and today. Sorry for the delay.
