Then they quickly pivoted, charging toward Gildarts in the sky.

The eight spheres of Blue were all sliced into uniform cubes and vanished. The ground below shattered violently, cut into giant cubes about a meter wide.

Then Gildarts waved his hand, and all the massive cubes shot toward Kael.

The giant cubes all stopped when they reached Kael's side.
Then, under Kael's control, they shot back toward Gildarts.

Gildarts reached Kael, driving his fist forward.
"Black Flash!"
Kael concentrated for a strike, and black-red sparks of lightning erupted.

The ground beneath them shattered instantly. The powerful shockwave made the runic barriers shake.
Evergreen asked Freed, "Freed, are you okay?"
Freed gritted his teeth and said, "I'm fine!"
He thought the defensive script he specialized in could definitely block their attacks, but he hadn't expected the mere aftershocks of their strikes to consume so much of his magic.
If these two monsters attacked head-on, his runic barrier might only last a few seconds. This was a significant blow to Freed's confidence.
Soon, the smoke cleared. Kael stood his ground, while Gildarts had been pushed back over ten meters.
