Chapter 207 - CHAPTER 207

The room was filled with screens and reports, no longer the sound of impact.

Yet the tension had not truly faded.

Adrian Blackwood stood before the long table with a digital map open, red dots scattered across various regions, marking the remnants of the network that had not completely collapsed.

Beside him, Sophia watched the data with full focus, her face calmer than before but not careless.

On the other side, Leonard Graves leaned back casually, yet his eyes were sharp, observing every detail.

Daniel stood near the main screen, his fingers ready to access whatever was needed.

"This is everything that remains," said Daniel, pointing to several still-active points.

"Distribution routes, storage facilities, and several key figures who haven't been caught."

Silence followed the explanation, not out of doubt, but because everyone in the room immediately understood one thing: their work was not finished.

Adrian stared at the points without expression. "We destroy it all," he said briefly.

There was no raised tone, no excessive emotion, yet the decision was final.

Sophia stepped slightly closer to the screen.

"We cannot simply attack," she said softly.

"Some of them might already be trying to escape or hide."

Leonard raised an eyebrow. "Then we chase them," he said casually.

Sophia turned to him, her gaze sharp but not dismissive.

"We cut off their routes first, then we chase."

Daniel nodded immediately. "I can track their last movements and block all exit access."

Adrian said nothing for several seconds, then finally nodded.

"Do it."

That command was enough to set everyone in motion.

Screens changed, data shifted, and plans began to be drawn up in seconds.

The team was divided into several sections, each with clear targets. Leonard immediately took charge of the field operations.

"I'll take the west team," he said.

"Some of them are trying to get out through the old routes."

Adrian glanced at him briefly.

"Don't let a single one escape."

Leonard smiled faintly.

"You don't need to remind me."

On the other side, Sophia remained in front of the screen. She would not go down directly, but her role was no less important.

Every movement, every decision, all depended on the data she and Daniel held.

"They are starting to move," Daniel said suddenly. Several points on the screen changed direction.

Sophia narrowed her eyes.

"They are panicking," she said.

"That's good."

Daniel looked at her.

"Or dangerous."

Sophia nodded slightly. "Both."

A few minutes later, the operation began.

Teams moved in unison, vehicles leaving the safe point toward the designated locations.

Adrian was in one of the lead vehicles, his eyes focused, his mind already one step ahead of the current situation.

This was no longer a massive battle like before, but that did not make it easier.

The remaining enemies were the most resilient, the hardest to catch.

On the western route, Leonard led at high speed.

"Target two hundred meters ahead," reported one of his team members.

Leonard grinned.

"Don't give them time."

Their vehicle slowed slightly before stopping abruptly.

Within seconds, they were out and moving.

No loud noises, no warnings.

Only swift execution.

Several men tried to run, but their paths had already been cut off.

In a short time, it was all over.

Leonard stood in the middle of the location, letting out a short breath.

"One point cleared," he said through his comms.

Elsewhere, Adrian faced a different situation.

His target was not trying to run, but to hide.

The old building looked empty from the outside, but his instincts told him otherwise. He signaled, and the team immediately spread out.

Doors opened silently, footsteps entering cautiously.

Within seconds, the sound of resistance was heard, brief but intense.

Adrian moved straight to the center, ending the opposition before it could escalate.

When everything stopped, he stood in the middle of the room, his breathing still steady.

"Done," he said briefly.

Back at the control center, Sophia watched the points disappear one by one from the screen. Every report came back with the same result.

Clear.

No one escaped.

Yet she did not lower her guard.

"There are still two left," she said softly.

Daniel nodded.

"The farthest ones."

Sophia stared at those points for several seconds.

"The most dangerous ones," she added.

Adrian received the information.

Without saying much, he immediately changed direction. This was the final part.

He knew it.

And he would not let a single one remain.

On another route, Leonard was also moving toward the same direction.

"Looks like we'll meet again," he said through the comms.

Adrian only answered briefly. "Quickly."

When both teams finally arrived, the situation was different from before.

No escape.

No attempt to hide.

Two men stood in the middle of the open area, as if waiting.

Adrian stepped forward,

Leonard at his side. "This is the end," Leonard said quietly.

No answer.

Only a heavy silence.

A few seconds later, it was all over.

No prolonged resistance.

No drama.

Just an ending that had been waiting for a long time.

The last two dots vanished from the screen.

At the control center, Sophia looked at the now completely clear screen.

No more red dots.

No more threats.

She exhaled a long breath, deeper this time than before.

Daniel looked at her then said softly, "It's all over."

Sophia nodded, her eyes softening slightly. "Yes."

Moments later, all teams returned.

The room, previously filled with tension, now felt lighter, though exhaustion was clearly visible on every face.

Leonard dropped himself into a chair.

"Now it's truly finished," he said.

Adrian stood a few steps away from Sophia, looking at her for a moment before finally saying,

"Nothing remains."

Sophia nodded.

"Nothing."

Silence fell once again, but this time it was different.

Not heavy.

Not pressing.

More like empty space after the storm has passed.

Everyone in the room felt it.

They had succeeded.

Not just surviving.

But truly ending it all.

Outside, the sun shone brightly.

The city moved as usual, but for them, the world had changed.

No more shadows chasing from behind.

No more threats waiting ahead.

But the journey does not end here.

Because after all the shadows have been cleared.

What remains is.

A future they must build themselves.
