Chapter 269 - Chapter 268: Look at This Drug of Yours!

After much explanation.

Luca finally managed to clarify to the newborn, who was only a few minutes old, that the lack of a sleeve on his right arm wasn't a fashion statement.

Although it's a mechanical arm, my whole body is basically mechanical. There's no need to make a distinction.

However, Vision was no ordinary newborn. As a semi-mechanical lifeform, his brain had been imbued with a vast amount of knowledge by 'Stark' (or rather, the synthesis process). Soon enough, his speech patterns matched the age suggested by his physical stature.

"Mr. Aurantius, Vision awaits your orders!"

When Vision placed a hand over his chest and bowed respectfully, Luca felt a bit weirded out.

Mainly because as his subordinates grew in number, he realized their forms of address were all over the place.

Some called him 'Boss,' some 'Young Master,' others 'Leader' or 'My Lord.'

Now adding 'Mr. Aurantius' to the list just felt... distant.

However, regardless of the title, the loyalty of intelligent lifeforms synthesized by the System was unquestionable.

In fact, when Luca bluntly asked, "Can you remove the Mind Stone from your forehead yourself?"

This newborn Vision actually prepared to crush his own forehead and forcibly pry the gem out to give to Luca...

"Stop, stop, stop!! Not like that!!"

Watching Vision's forehead creak under the pressure of his own grip, Luca's mouth twitched uncontrollably.

If he didn't stop him, this guy might actually perform a '1-second fade-to-black' right in front of him.

There is definitely something wrong with this guy's brain!

Luca complained internally.

But he forgot that Vision was a newborn less than half an hour old, forced by the System to grant him the highest authority.

Given a misunderstanding of intent, it wasn't surprising he'd do anything.

"So, without harming yourself, you can't remove the Mind Stone, is that correct?"

"Yes, sir. My memory contains no knowledge regarding that."

Hearing this, Luca's eyes flickered slightly.

Likes to refer to chip data as memory? He really doesn't act like a robot.

Through their brief interaction, Luca had gained a general understanding of Vision's condition.

Although he was artificially created with circuits and Vibranium...

Perhaps due to Ultron's obsession or the extensive use of the Regeneration Cradle to 'print' human tissue...

Functionally, compared to a robot, he was closer to a real human... er, superhuman.

Eating, drinking, sleeping—he could do all of these if he wanted to.

Right now, he only lacked normal physiological needs because the Mind Stone provided him with energy.

No wonder Vision could survive after the stone was removed. I thought he'd need to be plugged in to charge.

However, another point surprised Luca.

"According to you, flight, laser projection, and density manipulation are all your own abilities?"

"Yes, sir. The stone primarily provides me with energy and is one of the reasons for my existence."

As he spoke, Vision reached up and gently touched his forehead, seeming to feel the stone's presence.

"The only ability exclusive to the stone is probably..."

Before he could finish, Vision's appearance changed. His robotic red skin turned flesh-colored. His hands, facial features, and hair looked indistinguishable from a normal human's.

However, seeing him like this, Luca subconsciously rolled his eyes.

"What is it, sir?"

"Nothing. It's just... amazing."

It's a perfectly good Mind Stone, yet you haven't mastered a single psychic ability. It's either energy supply or shapeshifting. Is this the Reality Stone or the Power Stone?

Of course, complaints aside, this situation wasn't entirely without benefits.

At least it confirmed that once Luca removed the stone, Vision's strength wouldn't be significantly diminished.

But as Luca, thinking about 'removing the stone,' glanced over the remaining piece of Vibranium fighter jet plating in the transmutation circle, a lightbulb went off in his head.

Since the synthesis circle can forcibly strip away the required materials, can this ability be used in other ways?

Luca had entertained similar thoughts before. But this time, with synthesis materials involving indestructible substances like Vibranium and biological tissue, his mind naturally wandered.

In that instant, countless potential scenarios flashed through his mind.

If I encounter an item where the synthesis material is metal, can I destroy any level of metal equipment through synthesis?

If a future recipe calls for biological tissue, would Thanos stepping into the circle count as biological tissue?

Is there a recipe that requires a sphere?

Similar thoughts raced through Luca's mind.

But right now, he didn't have such items to synthesize, nor did he need to go to such lengths to deal with an enemy. So, he simply filed the idea away for later use.

Pushing aside the chaotic thoughts, Luca's attention returned to the matter at hand.

Looking at Vision, who was looking around curiously like a baby but staying within the circle because he hadn't received permission to leave, Luca shook his head with amusement.

"Alright~ I'll handle the safe removal of the stone. For now, just familiarize yourself with human life."

After saying that, he led Vision out of the secret chamber.

Luca recalled that in Infinity War, Shuri had nearly succeeded in safely removing the stone from Vision's head, only failing because of the invasion by Thanos's army.

Right now, he wasn't in a rush of a day or two, nor was there an alien invasion.

With slow and steady research, he believed a solution would be found soon.

But even he didn't expect the 'solution' to come so quickly.

Two days later.

"Huh? This??"

Staring at the Mind Stone that had just popped out and landed on the table...

And the mini-Vision, now looking only about 7 years old, standing before him...

Luca was completely dumbfounded.

His brain felt numb and tingly.

After a long silence, he turned his stiff neck to look at Sherry, who was equally stunned.

"Look at you! What kind of drug did you make?!"
