I never imagined that packing a suitcase could feel so different from unpacking one.
When I had first arrived in Paris, every movement had been filled with uncertainty. I had carefully folded each outfit, wondering whether I truly belonged in a city that seemed to breathe elegance with every passing moment. Even placing my luggage inside the hotel wardrobe had felt like I was borrowing someone else's life, one I wasn't sure I deserved to experience.
This morning was different.
The large suitcase rested open across the foot of my bed while sunlight streamed through the floor-to-ceiling windows, bathing the hotel room in a warm glow. Outside, Paris had already begun another busy day, but inside the room everything felt strangely peaceful, as though the city itself understood that my journey here had finally reached its end.
