Evelyn's POV
By the time we finally got home, my entire body felt exhausted in a way sleep alone probably could not fix.
The city lights stretched endlessly outside the car windows as Liora drove through the evening traffic, their reflections sliding across the glass while my mind replayed everything that had happened since morning. Cameras. Meetings. Endless discussions. Reporters shouting questions from every direction as if they expected me to suddenly reveal my entire life story in front of flashing lights.
It still felt unreal.
Only a few months ago, nobody cared where Evelyn Hart was going.
Now people followed my movements online like it mattered.
The thought alone felt strange.
Beside me, Liora suddenly gasped loudly while staring at her phone again.
"Oh my God."
I sighed without even looking at her this time.
"What happened now?"
"The teaser climbed another ranking."
"You've been announcing rankings for the past twenty minutes."
