When dinner was served, Claire Sinclair had no appetite, but she still forced herself to eat a bowl of rice.
After dinner, the couple took turns showering, then sat snuggled together on the sofa, turning on the TV to watch whatever was on.
Claire Sinclair toyed with his beautiful fingers and asked, "Adrian, do you hope the baby is a boy or a girl?"
"A girl."
"Why?"
"I'd be more jealous of a boy."
Claire Sinclair said irritably, "I have a feeling that if I'm having a boy, you might not be very nice to him!"
"Mm," the man admitted freely.
Claire Sinclair grew anxious. "You wouldn't really be mean to our son, would you?"
"I'd probably throw him into a training camp…"
"I don't even want to talk to you anymore…" Claire Sinclair shook off his hand and climbed into bed, ready to sleep.
Adrian Quincy followed her, lying down and holding her so she couldn't escape. "I was just kidding. How could I have the heart to mistreat our child?"
"Don't make that kind of joke ever again!"
