Yuri Sinclair waved his hand dismissively.
Shannon Turner kowtowed gratefully. But just as she got up and started to walk out, she turned back around.
'He doesn't want to see me again? But I'm an actress. I have to appear on screen, right? How could he not see me?'
'Unless he means... he wants me to disappear from the entertainment industry for good?'
She spun back around in terror.
Yuri Sinclair guessed what she was about to say. With a hint of impatience, he said, "Did you think you could offend my woman and get away so easily? This is just a little taste. If you still don't know what's good for you, I'll make it so you can't even find a normal job!"
His words nearly made Shannon Turner faint. How could she have known that a slip of the tongue would lead to such a miserable fate?
She didn't dare say another word, terrified of truly angering Yuri Sinclair. She clenched her fists and left.
