Julian Peyton supported himself on the wall as he walked to the sofa and sat down, hissing in pain. "Dr. Hale, are you sure you're not trying to murder me?"
"If I wanted to murder you, you would've kicked the bucket on the operating table. Did you really think I'd wait until now?"
Hannah Hale crouched down to check Julian Peyton's wound. Thankfully, the stitches hadn't torn.
Laura Lowell looked at the long incision and asked worriedly, "Did his wound tear open? Why is he in so much pain?"
"He's fine. It should feel better after a little while."
Laura Lowell helped Julian Peyton pull his shirt back down, frowning slightly as she looked at him. "Can't you just get some proper rest? You're still a patient. What are you doing running all over the place?"
"Sis, can you give me your phone number and WeChat? That way, I can contact you anytime and won't have to keep bothering Dr. Hale."
Julian Peyton tugged on Laura Lowell's sleeve, his pale face contorting in pain.
