Laura Lowell nodded with absolute certainty. "Of course. The one you're destined for is coming soon. Just hang in there."
".....Laura, it's a real waste you're not a fortune-teller."
Hannah Hale had to hand it to her. She acted like she knew exactly who Hannah's soulmate was.
Laura raised her hand and poked Hannah Hale on the head. "Hannah Hale, you big dummy! I see things, I just don't spell them out. A fortune-teller? I wish I were the Matchmaker. Then I could've tied your red string of fate good and tight a long time ago."
Aiden Shaw leaned against the elevator wall, finding his wife more and more adorable the longer he watched her. A faint smile unconsciously touched his lips.
When they got out of the elevator, they went straight to the hospital room.
Theo Zane lay on the hospital bed, his eyes fixed on the ceiling. The wound on his neck had been treated, but the severe shock had likely caused a high fever. He was now on an IV drip.
