A few feet from Laura Lowell, Aiden Shaw caught Yvonne Sloan's hand—the one with the gunshot wound—and squeezed it tightly in midair. "What makes you think," he began, his voice dangerously low, "that I'd ever let you harm my wife and child?"
Yvonne Sloan screamed in agony, feeling as if her hand was being crushed. Thick blood streamed from the wound.
"Shaw, I love you... I've loved you for so, so long... Laura Lowell is completely unworthy of you."
Aiden Shaw shot Yvonne Sloan a look of pure disgust, as if she were garbage. He then turned his gaze to Keith Chambers. "Take her back to Dylan Zane. He'll handle it."
"I'm going to teach her a lesson first. I need to blow off some steam."
Keith Chambers was fucking furious. He couldn't stand such a self-righteous idiot who would never learn her lesson.
"Suit yourself. Dylan Zane needs her alive."
