The second private room on the right was Sylvia Vaughn's. After the server brought their food and left, the door wasn't closed properly. It was left with a wide gap, allowing anyone outside to clearly see and hear what was going on inside.
Inside the room, there were eight people in total, including Hector Vaughn and Sylvia Vaughn. Seven of them were men; Sylvia was the only woman. She sat stiffly beside Hector, her gaze darting about nervously. Every time he spoke a word to her, her body would tremble slightly, like a frightened little animal.
Outside, Aurora Sterling's brow furrowed slightly. Recalling Sylvia's state at the Vaughn family home a few days ago, she grew increasingly certain that something was wrong with this Hector Vaughn.
"Sylvia said she's treating everyone to dinner today, so don't hold back. Order whatever you want," Hector Vaughn's voice drifted from the private room.
