Aurora slept very deeply, dreaming she was floating among the clouds—drifting up one moment, then settling onto a soft, fluffy patch the next. In short, it was the deepest and most comfortable sleep she had had in years.
It wasn't often she could sleep so peacefully, without a single care in the world.
Sean Carter knocked lightly on the door. "Boss, the kitchen has prepared lunch. It's time to wake Miss Sterling."
"Alright."
Damien Valerius watched the young woman on the bed. A small smile played on her lips, as if she were having a pleasant dream. Seeing Aurora like this, Damien was reluctant to wake her. But he glanced at the time. She had an exam that afternoon, so she had to eat something to regain her energy.
"Aurora."
He called her name softly, but the young woman only murmured in response, still fast asleep.
Aurora's voice was naturally soft and sweet, and that little murmur was especially delightful to hear.
