Fortunately, Cedric Grant noticed her sour expression and made an effort to soften his tone. "Alright, alright, just hurry up and order. Don't keep everyone waiting."
Jean Jarvis could only seethe internally. She resentfully lowered the menu, forced a smile at the others, and tried to save face. "Oh, that's just how Cedric is. He's always worried that what he orders won't suit my tastes, so he insists I pick my own favorites."
No one else said a word. She sullenly placed her order with the waiter and passed the menu to Cedric Grant.
After Cedric finished ordering, he gave the menu to Clara Grant and Seth Quinn. They put their heads together, conferred over the menu, and harmoniously placed their order.
The meal hadn't even begun, but Jean Jarvis was already fuming inside.
Seth Quinn handed the menu back to the waiter and added, "And please bring out dessert at the very end. That'll be all."
The waiter agreed and then left.
