"By the way, Mom, what happened just now? I heard from Mr. Jarvis that you suddenly ran a red light..."
Before Clara Grant could finish, Skylar Hayes smiled and explained, "Sigh, I'm getting old, and my mind isn't as sharp as it used to be. I was on the phone with you and saw the red light, but it didn't register. I just kept walking forward, and that's what led to this whole mess."
As soon as she finished, she immediately changed the subject, steering the conversation back to them hurrying over to the Quinn family's home. "Oh, come on, how can you be in no rush? Meeting his parents for the first time is a big deal! How can you agree to go and then just back out at the last minute?"
