Nora pursed her lips. "A mother knows."
Then she left.
Sierra Ainsworth hugged Nora. "Sis, you have no idea. Knowing the kids are alive... even though I haven't said it, I'm so, so happy. Those two are your whole world. I know you could never be truly happy without them. Now that they're back, Sis, you and Quentin need to be extra careful about everyone's safety. The only one we're missing now is Mom."
Nora hugged her back tightly. "Sierra, alive or dead, we have to find Mom. No matter the cost."
"Mhm."
The two sisters went downstairs and saw Luna Ainsworth sitting there, smoking by himself.
"Dad." Sierra pulled Nora over. "Let's use this chance to have a proper talk."
He stubbed out his cigarette, clasped his hands, and looked at them with immense guilt.
