"Auntie, do you want Elmer and me to come with you?"
Sierra Ainsworth's mind raced, and she immediately understood what the little guy meant. A brilliant smile bloomed on her face. "Deal!"
After dinner, she took the two darlings with her to the meeting.
The venue was an upscale coffee shop in Draconia.
The coffee shop wasn't very crowded in the evening. When they arrived, Aaron Sterling was already there.
"I thought you were going to be late again?" she said, taking a seat.
He raised an eyebrow. "I'm almost never late when meeting you, am I? Whose little brats are these?"
Sierra Ainsworth smiled freely. "Mine."
Aaron Sterling was taken aback. He stared at her face; her blossoming smile was like the most beautiful flower.
Ever since he'd known her, she had rarely smiled. Her eyes had always been filled with a sadness and a despair that could easily pull you in. Now, though, her color looked much better.
