Cecilia Adler reached out to feel his forehead. "Wow, you're really burning up." She dug out a thermometer for him to take his temperature, poured him a glass of water, and wrung out a wet towel to place on his forehead.
Ian Quincy's heart filled with warmth. "Cecilia, do you think I look better with glasses or without?" 'If she says I look better without them, then the next time I show up, I'll have to hide away in the guesthouse and avoid her.'
"You look good either way, but since you're not nearsighted, isn't it uncomfortable to wear them? Won't they crush the bridge of your nose?" Cecilia Adler reached out and touched his nose.
'It's so high.'
'Is this what they call a chiseled nose in novels?'
Ian Quincy chuckled. "It's not going to collapse. Just pick one, hmm?"
Cecilia said, "With the glasses. They make you look thoughtful and mature."
'He's been wearing them the past few days, after all. If I said they looked bad, he'd probably be upset, right? I want him to be happy.'
