"How is he?"
Zhou Yuanshan stared fixedly at Li Chang'an, his eyes looking as if they could shoot fire.
Li Chang'an paused deliberately, as if trying to keep him in suspense. "Him..." Li Chang'an finally spoke at a leisurely pace. "His body has started to undergo some changes."
"Changes? What changes!" Zhou Yuanshan's voice pitched up, the veins on his forehead bulging one by one like writhing earthworms.
"His skin..." Li Chang'an lowered his voice as if afraid of being overheard. "It's starting to become rough, and turning black... Also, his eyes," he paused, "sometimes they turn red."
"Red?!" Zhou Yuanshan gasped, his body jolting violently as if struck by lightning.
"Yes, red," Li Chang'an nodded affirmatively. "Just like... the eyes of those Black Obsidian Beetles."
"That's impossible!" Zhou Yuanshan muttered to himself, completely unable to accept this reality. "How could he turn into a monster?"
