After a few weeks of middle school, Xu Changqing had only just gotten used to leaving early and coming home late.
The annual autumn harvest had finally arrived, and even the school let out early for the fall break.
Bai Xiulan was extremely unhappy about the communal dining hall being set up for this year's harvest. She had wanted to keep her Changqing at home to look after her younger siblings and prepare meals.
Clearly, that wasn't an option. To make matters worse, the person who had proposed the communal hall was her own brother! What could she do? She could only swallow her objections and accept it; what other choice did she have?
Thanks to her two young children, she was assigned to work in the dining hall. Bai Xiulan thought about swapping places with her daughter, since working in the dining hall was much easier.
Would Xu Changqing agree?
