"Argh..."
Wang Hao's face was flushed crimson. He clenched his fists, veins popping on his forehead as beads of sweat formed and trickled down his cheeks, dripping onto the thin blanket covering him.
"Why is this happening? Was there something wrong with that black pill?" Chen Xiaoyan said anxiously, watching Wang Hao's agonizing state. "Just hang in there. I'm calling an ambulance right now."
As she spoke, she pulled her phone from her pocket and typed in the number for an ambulance. Just as she was about to press the dial button, Wang Hao shouted, "Don't call an ambulance!"
"But look at the state you're in! If we don't call an ambulance, you could die..." Chen Xiaoyan said, worried.
"This is a normal reaction to the medicine. It'll be over in a little while," Wang Hao explained, enduring the erupting waves of pain.
