Monotonous my foot.
When I opened my eyes, it was like I was inside a theme park.
I. Am. Overwhelmed.
Just imagine, you wake up expecting another monotonous day, when suddenly you see strange creatures and beings floating and flying here and there...
What the?!
I kept saying all sorts of expletives as I glanced around.
Sorry. I intend to keep my story all-age friendly, so I cannot cuss here.
But if you're a person who's used to swearing a lot, you're welcome to cuss instead of me. Because if you are in my place, you would be wondering if you might have taken expired food or medication.
Floating live creatures... are they floating or flying? I do not know.
Creatures who have human parts that talk and keep staring at me? Check.
There were so many weird structures made out of an unknown material that looked like stone, but changed colors.
I'm starting to hyperventilate, but then I remember that I'm the strange one now.
Now I don't know what I was thinking but I finally remembered the use of my legs and common sense.
I do not want to become a prostitute or a slave, or even worse, be killed for something I didn't do.
So I immediately ran toward a large, moving gate.
Okay, I have enough common sense to know that I am not dreaming.
I heard some voices and they sounded scratchy and loud, which made me panic even more.
Those novels definitely lied to me. You would absolutely panic if you were in a strange world with no knowledge of anything.
And no, I definitely do not remember reading a novel like this.
My eyes seem to see all sorts of crazy stuff at the same time and I'm trying to keep myself sane.
Now that I'm at the gate, I can see that outside is a kind of forest, but the trees have weird shapes and are moving?! I know that trees move, but not like they're dancing or walking and I definitely KNOW TREES ARE MOSTLY GREEN, NOT RAINBOW!!!
I will not lose my sanity. I will definitely survive this but...
WHY IS THE GATE MOVING??!!!
I want to cry.
....
Somehow, I had enough strength to find a quiet street corner and wept.
Anyway, this street is ordinary-looking, with houses that look like they are from the Renaissance period on earth.
It's quiet and there's nobody around so I cried and cried from being overwhelmed.
If I told you what I just saw, an ordinary person would either laugh or tell me I'm hallucinating and crazy.
But I have enough common sense to know that what I'm experiencing is real.
They don't tell experiences like this in the novels.
Usually in most novels, the person who gets teleported or, to be exact, isekaid, immediately fits in. They don't panic and seem to know exactly what to do.
I don't....
I don't know what to do.
Everything feels strange and weird to me.
The place I ran from was a huge burst of color, but the street where I'm sitting now, huddled up, looks much more mellow. The buildings and colors have a renaissance feel, like something out of an encyclopedia or museum.
I took time to compose myself. If I wanted to survive, I needed to calm down. So I focused on my breathing and closed my eyes.
Inhale... exhale...
Inhale... exhale...
I opened my eyes slowly and I felt myself becoming calmer.
Whenever you feel a panic attack coming on, practicing breathing exercises is helpful. Although breathing into a paper bag works well, there is often not one available.
Now that I'm a bit calmer, the first thing I did was check myself.
Ok, it seems that I got isekai'd into an unknown world. I am wearing the same clothes that I usually wear at home. And no, I definitely did not die, as I'm very particular with my annual health checkups. Last thing I remembered was...
I don't remember what I did. Strange.
Good thing I managed to wear something a bit presentable. Thank heavens I wore my jogging pants and a shirt, even though I realized that I was barefoot.
The ground feels smooth. Sure, it looks like ordinary ground, but somehow it didn't hurt when I ran earlier. Cool.
When I looked at the sky to check if it's was morning or afternoon, I realized that the sky was still bright and that's when I knew that I was in another world.
How should I describe this?
I could recognize that there was a giant sun-like thing in the sky, but the color was unlike anything I'm used to.
It's blue-white?!
From what I learned back on earth, yeah, I'm definitely not on earth, if the color of the sun is blue or white, it means it's hotter than our sun.
But the strange thing is that I don't feel hot. Rather, the wind feels very cool. However, the color of the sky is cyan with streaks of pinkish hue. It looks like a bubblegum.
I started murmuring expletives when I saw something strange.
What is that?!
Just when I thought it was strange that the sun was a different color, I noticed the sky has two suns.
TWO. SUNS.
Good thing I remembered my high school science lessons. Haaaaaa...
The world I'm currently in has a binary star system, meaning the planet orbits two stars. I can't explain much since I've forgotten most of my science lessons.
The second "sun" is a bit smaller and has a reddish color. Maybe that's why the sky has a cyan-pinkish hue? I don't know and I don't want to know why right now.
But I can see a HUGE planet in the background. It's like I'm on the moon and I can see the Earth. Or an even better explanation, it's like I'm on one of Saturn's moons and I can see Saturn in the sky.
I don't want to understand anything right now.
I'm almost at my limit.
