"Is that a weapon of the Middle Easterners? It looks pretty powerful." Zeke stroked his chin as he watched the steam-emitting armored trains slowly advancing.
"And there seem to be quite a few of them. When did the Middle Easterners come up with these things?" Zeke sharply noticed that there were not a few armored trains inside Fort Slava.
Two were chasing the Armored Titan, one was roaming inside the fortress clearing out ordinary Pure Titans, and there was even one circling atop the high walls of Fort Slava.
Commander Magath jumped down from the jeep and hurried to Zeke's side. This was already very close to the front line. Magath raised his binoculars and carefully observed the battlefield.
The Armored Titan was in terrible condition. Its entire body was covered in steam-emitting wounds. It staggered as it dodged the bombardment from the armored trains. For some reason, its movements looked extremely restrained, as if it had some concern holding it back.
Magath didn't know that at this moment, there was still a figure lying on the Armored Titan's shoulder. From the thighs down, both legs were completely gone, a bloody mess, steam scattering everywhere. Although the power of the Titan was constantly repairing Newt's body, he wouldn't be able to continue fighting anytime soon.
That's right—unfortunately, not long after the Armored Titan and the Crimson Flame Titan broke into the fortress, they encountered the armored trains. Caught off guard, the Crimson Flame Titan was instantly focused down and nearly blasted to pieces.
Newt could be considered lucky. The nape of the Crimson Flame Titan was blown open, but he only lost both legs.
Then, in order to save Newt, Reiner also suffered concentrated fire from the armored trains. If not for the enhanced power of the Armored Titan, the original version before infiltrating Paradis Island would have already been blasted to pieces here (it's not that the Armored Titan is weak, it's just that the enemy is too cunning and specifically targeting the Armor).
"Zeke, immediately reinforce the Armored Titan." Commander Magath realized the urgency. That black steel monster posed too great a threat to the Titan warriors. If they didn't help, Reiner's Armored Titan would be in danger.
Zeke's expression grew serious. How was he supposed to help? With stone throws? He wasn't confident he could avoid hitting Reiner's Armored Titan. What if he accidentally injured an ally?
Just as Zeke was hesitating, two dazzling golden bolts of lightning suddenly appeared on the battlefield, grand and imposing, as if they were about to pierce through heaven and earth.
Boom! Even from several thousand meters away, Zeke and Magath could still feel the ground tremble slightly.
Massive steam materialized out of thin air and lingered for a long time. After a while, two pairs of crimson eyes slowly emerged from within the steam.
Step! Step! Step! A strange sound of hooves striking the ground echoed as a brand-new Titan burst out of the steam. Its upper body was covered in layers of white bone armor, even its entire head wrapped within it. Cracks at the back of the skull armor revealed a large mass of flowing black hair, like a ponytail. Its lower body resembled that of a horse. The Paladin Titan appeared like a mythical centaur knight.
Beside it stood a massive body nearly thirty meters tall, suspended in the air, its entire form covered in gem-like armor—the Fortress Titan!
When these two behemoths appeared on the battlefield, both the Marleyan side and the Middle Eastern side were stunned, especially by the nearly thirty-meter-tall Fortress Titan, whose oppressive presence was unmatched.
But what followed was even more shocking.
The Paladin Titan galloped forward, reaching the Fortress Titan in the blink of an eye, then wrapped its upper body around it. With a deep, muffled roar, the Fortress Titan's body began to twist and deform.
Chunks of armor started merging with the Paladin Titan. Crack! Crack! The Fortress Titan's body kept shrinking, while the Paladin Titan grew increasingly terrifying.
Boom!! After a heavy crash into the ground, the Paladin Titan (fusion form), now clad in what seemed like super-heavy armor, charged straight toward the armored trains.
Rumble!! The sound of the earth shaking never ceased. The Armored Titan, one hand protecting Newt on its shoulder, continued dodging the endless shells behind it.
Suddenly, an enormous figure burst out and blocked its path.
Reiner, inside the nape, was startled at first, but quickly realized—it was those newly arrived Titan warriors.
He wanted to warn them that the armored trains behind were difficult to deal with and to be careful, but the thought had only just formed—
In the next moment, Reiner felt the Armored Titan's body suddenly lift into the air.
Dazed, the Armored Titan crashed heavily onto the ground.
"What the hell?" Reiner barely managed to protect Newt on the shoulder. Only then did Newt notice that the Paladin Titan (fusion form) had already rushed past them.
"I… I just got rammed away?" Reiner was stunned.
At this moment, the Paladin Titan had already reached the front of the armored train.
Inside the train, the Middle Eastern soldiers panicked. This twenty-meter-tall monster was simply too terrifying—the ground itself was shaking!
But a Middle Eastern commander stepped forward to rally morale, shouting:
"This is the anti-Titan armored train that our Middle East has poured countless effort into developing—it is the nemesis of all Titans! Do not panic! The Titan warriors of Marley will all fall before us! All units, prepare for battle!"
His words encouraged many soldiers. They quickly returned to their positions, preparing to fight the Paladin Titan.
Boom! Boom! Boom! ... More than a dozen enhanced anti-Titan cannons roared. Shells that could previously shatter the Armored Titan's bone shield only left faint black marks on the Paladin Titan (fusion form).
"Wow, is that supposed to tickle?" Ivanor chuckled inside the nape.
"We're about to collide!" a Middle Eastern soldier shouted through the observation port. The commander's expression hardened. This armored train was made from countless tons of ultra-durable steel—how could mere flesh of a Marleyan Titan possibly win in a collision?
"Full speed ahead! Ram it!"
On the other side, Commander Magath saw through his binoculars the imminent collision between the Paladin Titan (fusion form) and the armored train. His heart involuntarily tightened—could the Paladin Titan (fusion form) withstand it?
